Hot take: The founders who will win the next decade aren't the ones with the best ideas. They're the ones who figure out how to 10x their own output with AI before hiring anyone else.

Have we all felt that some customer service “AI” chatbots sound smart but a few chats later you know that they’re also figuring the shit out with us as and are as clueless as we are?

@Yuchenj_UW lol man @Yuchenj_UW I’m sorry for this weirdness you’re going through. And thanks for raising this loudly. I help so many people in their EB1A journeys and believe me this type of absurdity and invented understanding is so prevalent.

USCIS just denied my US green card application. claiming my work lacks impact "beyond that of Apple, Inc." -- even though they acknowledge that I am the Apple CTO. WTF? I have NEVER worked at Apple! I got my cs PhD, cofounded an AI startup, and raised $20M. Yet, after waiting an entire year, I'm rejected with this absurd reasoning. I really hope DOGE, with @elonmusk, @sriramk, and @DavidSacks, can fix the system and accelerate high-skilled immigration. High-skilled immigrants are America's secret weapon. It should be merit-based -- not left to some USCIS officer carelessly reviewing documents and copy-pasting rejection reasons!

Imagine if California hired a competent company and gave them a $25 billion budget with the condition: “Reduce homelessness by 80% in 5 years, and you can keep what you don’t spend.” Instead, they spent $25 billion, and homelessness increased. It makes no sense to give people a goal that, if achieved, would make their job unnecessary. Homelessness could have been greatly reduced….

Cut the federal budget by $Ts, then take a tiny fraction of this and find a company to give EVERY American internet access even in the most remote parts of America. All or none contract - bounded by time, cost overruns borne by the company. Make America Great Again!

There’s 3.5M babies born per year in our country. Give them each a $1,000 account on their date of birth that owns the S&P 500. By age 70, every American that received this would be a millionaire. Regardless of race, gender, family upbringing, educational attainment, etc. And it would cost $3.7B per year. Peanuts. Wouldn’t even make a dent in our budget. Make America Rich Again.

@AbhijitChavda Exactly!! If only it was logically thought out, India and China are actually naturally incentivized to be friends. Be it whatever angle - strategic, cultural, geopolitical. There’s still some weird baggage that doesn’t let China see past a certain haze for what truly is.

There is tremendous potential in a mutually-beneficial, strategically-convergent India-China relationship. Pleased to see this move in a positive, de-escalatory direction.

@HeidiBriones Gay rights movement of rhe past decade is no longer the left movement of today! It’s taken a whole diffferent crazy dark shade now that even the true gay rights activists want nothing to do with the far left these day, infact finding solace in what the center right stands for.

Any lesbian who ever wished she were a boy as a little girl but is so damn glad she's a woman now should be adamantly against this transgender nonsense. It should be no shock to anyone why she voted Trump either.

@rishikagupta__ 100%! Point is - is that bubble by design? Honestly, transitioning from a core engineer to an entrepreneur required me to unlearn a ton of my engineering in order to be successful. Why does it even have to be this way?

This might be a bit controversial but people working in IT live in a completely different bubble - one that's far removed from how most people experience everyday life. I come from a business family background, so when I come home and participate in those discussions, I feel so naive.

@chamath It's really alarming how all the so called premium "healthy good for you food" also produces this effect. Makes me wonder if it is all a scam then? Or is it just the North American feng shui to blame... jk...

I am fortunate to be able to spend 6-8weeks in Italy every summer. I work in Milan for 4-6 weeks and then take my summer vacation for 2-3 weeks. More importantly, I get to eat non American food sources for an extended period every year. And I always lose weight! Usually maintaining muscle mass, losing fat. This summer, as usual, I ate pasta, bread, drank wine, ate gelato and got moderate exercise by walking around most days. I lost 5lbs and came back from Europe 164lb. After 2.5 months back in the US, I’ve gained back 2.5lbs. I work out more. Drink less. Eat the same or better…but I can’t seem to outrun the American food supply no matter what I do. If I can’t outrun an American food supply with the resources I have access to, how are most other Americans expected to do so? Is it any wonder, then, that 1/3 of all kids are obese/near obese? Make America Healthy Again

45% - yes a record 45% of Indian American males voted for Trump. 30% of Indian Americans voted Trump. That’s one of the most significant historical shifts in group voting we’ve seen.

@anish_hg Books are great start but at 6, knowing how to use errors to debug and fix code crap works so good. My 7 yr old nephew is always high on adrenaline when he fixes stuff looking at error codes! The boy literally used python error lib to teach himself lol

One minor annoyance in America is having to regularly explain how cricket is a superior sport to baseball in every way.
