@56Dbhau @urbanmonnk Nah. 50-60% of the people I know who went to the protests were anti Modi not left. I know my friends from BJP supporting families who joined protests. It just that they want a cause to associate with and this was that cause. The feeling to clinging to a cause is what helped BJP

Thinking about the Hong Kong protests and how the police there had acted. What a contrast to the relish with which policemen in India bash up their own. There isn’t any comparison between China that ended its graded inequality and India which is preserving its hierarchy at the cost of its future.

But some objectively good bills (not saying it was) should be placed above voices of rioters. Farms Laws were that bill, and see how it turned out. There is a reason why China is successful.

@SinhaSuny @KesariDhwaj Sinha Ji then you must know that the Gov bypassed the legislation and introduced an even stricter law. The National Security Law (the new law) is more stricter and punitive than the 2019 extradition bill. Public dissent is important but bills for the good cause are important too.
