@WallStreetMav The money received would only be reported as income if it was actually income earned. A wife receiving $1,000 from her husband to pay bills would not be considered income and therefore not reported as such.

This ridiculous for so many reasons. Many people Zelle themselves $1,000 or more between bank accounts. A husband might send $1,000+ to their wife's account for some bills. With all of the IRS reporting of anything over $600+, is all of that counted as income?

The IRS is warning Americans that in 2026 they must report payments on Venmo, PayPal and Zelle of over $600. Meanwhile, The Pentagon failed its 7th audit in a row, as they were unable to account for more than half of their $3.8 trillion in assets. $979 billion annual budget.
