Here's what I've learned about the Saints QB situation after some digging the past 24 hours: • Taysom Hill's status as the heir apparent to Drew Brees is unchanged. He remains Plan A. • That said, Jameis Winston will compete with him for the starting job when Brees retires.

I hate when they do this. A players position should be locked for the whole season. Switching midway is really bad.

This is the logic as I see it. Would still 100% rather the guy never made it inside the building but if at the end of this we just flip him like some cheap real estate I can *almost* stomach it. But not quite.

So long as nothing happens on Winston until Monday @saints should be clear to dodge this year’s comp pick process and flip him for some minor value next year. In the meantime he can keep a bench nice and warm and maybe learn how to be a better human from one of the best. #9.
