I truly respect and love Todd Bowles the man. But IMO, he should be fired. The @Buccaneers end the season 8-9 after a 6-2 start. The defense absolutely collapsed in the second half of the season. Todd Bowles is the DC. In their last nine games the Bucs defense ranked 31st in scoring defense, 30th in total defense, 27th in pass defense. Dead last in Red Zone defense allowing 21 scores in 22 trips including 16 TDs! During a critical 4 game stretch starting in week 13 The Bucs were 0-4 vs teams under .500. One win would have won the division. They blew a 28-14 Lead to the Falcons with 10 minutes to play! Following the bye, Bowles was 2-5 in one score games and 2-6 in 2024 season. He doesn’t manage games well, excruciatingly conservative and the fan base has almost completely turned against him. His career record with Brady, and 3 great years of Baker Mayfield is 36-36 including playoffs. Winning the division 3 out of 4 years needs context. No other team had a winning record in 4 years! Unprecedented in the NFL. Do the Glazers really believe that’s a guy who is going to lead this team to a Super Bowl? There have been many credible reports that Bowles is safe. That amazes me. I think the Glazers may be putting that out there while working behind the scenes on a surprise candidate. Perhaps one that is still playing in college or NFL. I believe that because I believe the Glazers are smart owners. That they have the pulse of the fan base.
