You’ve got the cause and effect backwards. People aren’t fixating on Trump out of stubborn one-sidedness. They’re doing it because pointing out his corruption directly produces zero accountability. It gets dismissed as TDS, fake news, or partisan noise. So the only move left is to hold up a mirror: ‘You’d have impeached Obama for half of this.’ That’s not hypocrisy. It’s a desperate attempt to surface a standard his defenders will actually apply. The ‘partisan obstacle’ you’re describing IS the hypocrisy. It’s a base that won’t judge its own guy by the rules it judges everyone else. I’d genuinely recommend looking into the things he does on a weekly basis. Not headlines, primary sources. I’m not a lawyer & not God - so I can’t defend him. My response is not one of defense, but pointing out the hypocrisy of people who are so quick to judge his actions but never those of others who do the exact same thing. I have criticized his actions too- but there’s far more hypocrisy to address than there are criticisms of Pres Trump.
