
You’ve got the cause and effect backwards. People aren’t fixating on Trump out of stubborn one-sidedness. They’re doing it because pointing out his corruption directly produces zero accountability. It gets dismissed as TDS, fake news, or partisan noise. So the only move left is to hold up a mirror: ‘You’d have impeached Obama for half of this.’ That’s not hypocrisy. It’s a desperate attempt to surface a standard his defenders will actually apply. The ‘partisan obstacle’ you’re describing IS the hypocrisy. It’s a base that won’t judge its own guy by the rules it judges everyone else. I’d genuinely recommend looking into the things he does on a weekly basis. Not headlines, primary sources. It’s worse than the discourse around him suggests.
