@MikeDro_ I think Ohtani would be steered towards a larger market no matter what, but at least there would be some talk of Ohtani ending up somewhere besides New York or LA.
English

Do people really think Shohei Ohtani was going to the Royals or Guardians if there was a salary cap??
J.C.@rock_climber02
If there isn’t a salary cap in the MLB…players like Ohtani will NEVER end up in KC or Cleveland….They will ALWAYS end up in NY or LA
English

@nymlbtalk @TheRealJHair MLB hasn’t had 30 teams for forever they have had 30 teams what only as recently as when the rays joined?
English

@TheRealJHair Baseball has also been around the longest and without a Cap . the other leagues have not been using a cap that long either
English

@timyos325 @MarkCHealey You aren’t making sense now and I’ve realized you might have learning disabilities I apologize
English

@SalD9786 @MarkCHealey How about what Anthony rendon did to the angels? Am I being salty about that to?
English

@SalD9786 @MarkCHealey There’s no demand to go to Mets game and their won’t be for awhile. The price of hot dawgs will stay the same bc Soto
Needs to get paid
English

@timyos325 @MarkCHealey My guy you sound like you don’t know how any of this works
English

@SalD9786 @MarkCHealey U think Sean manea is worth 75 million $ btw? The players salary has gotten way out of control
English

@timyos325 @MarkCHealey Whatever someone is willing to pay is how players get paid every free agent for the most part is over paid it’s why it isn’t a sustainable practice to just get FA
English

All of these teams just willingly admitted that they could afford to spend more money the whole time and just didn’t want to.
Front Office Sports@FOS
MLB teams below the $171.2M salary floor proposed by owners: Orioles ($167M) Mariners ($162M) Royals ($146M) Reds ($132M) Brewers ($128M) Rockies ($117M) Twins ($105M) Pirates ($104M) Rays ($103M) Cardinals ($94M) Athletics ($94M) Nationals ($93M) White Sox ($90M) Guardians ($80M) Marlins ($78M)
English

@SalD9786 @MarkCHealey I got my business degree already. Higher cost for labor ( players) means higher costs for supply ( hot dawgs)
English

@timyos325 @MarkCHealey You do realize what I am saying in factual no?
English

@StonKold @rose_bookie @lizaboth I’m not clicking a random link a stranger posts on twitter pal and if that was true the MLB wouldn’t be so strict on never telling the public
English

@SalD9786 @rose_bookie @lizaboth That’s not entirely true Pal. Financial experts can use publicly available financial factors to determine a fairly accurate estimate. share.google/aimode/ZjF2reG…
English

@SalD9786 @rose_bookie @lizaboth Because the Doyers have a huge TV deal that they get a tax break on and have the best market in MLB.
English

@cmc92381 @Ajay_W @DanClarkSports So seemingly the game is growing at a rapid pace never seen before but the sport is broken?
English

@SalD9786 @Ajay_W @DanClarkSports Rule changes have been a breathe of fresh air plus streaming . Combine that with sports gambling and that’s ur increase along with increasing internationally markets . That doesn’t change that the system is broken and is a major problem for baseballs future . Both can be true
English

@StonKold @rose_bookie @lizaboth We do not know how much the teams truly make because they don’t open the books and you know that but choosing to be ignorant
English

@SalD9786 @rose_bookie @lizaboth Are you really denying that a payroll higher than the yearly revenue of 26 out of 30 teams isn’t a huge advantage?
English

@cmc92381 @Ajay_W @DanClarkSports If it’s so systematically bad why is viewership better than it has been in decades
English

@SalD9786 @Ajay_W @DanClarkSports Cause it’s systemically bad for baseball and not sustainable. There are whole fan bases where the season is over before it starts . Much of their ticket sales are from away teams fans showing up .And it doesn’t mean less money for players it mean more money spread around to them
English

@StonKold @rose_bookie @lizaboth If it’s so huge how come the dodgers are the only team that seem to make it happen. Also besides the last two years and the Mickey Mouse 2020 championship the dodgers hadn’t won in decades. They made great transactions and got lucky with shohei cheating the system
English

@StonKold @rose_bookie @lizaboth Yes no matter how much money you spend a chip is not guaranteed correct 😘
English

@cmc92381 @Ajay_W @DanClarkSports You just said the exact reason it will never happen why would the players give up the chance to make money like that? You can’t Hoenstly say in your shoes you’d say “no please don’t pay me all this money it’s not fair!”
English

@SalD9786 @Ajay_W @DanClarkSports It has nothing to do with champions . It has to do with FAs . Over the last 3 years the whole system has fallen apart . U have two teams with unlimited money . This has created another market level . Kyle Tucker got 60 million a year bichette gets 42 million a year
English

@StonKold @rose_bookie @lizaboth Been to the World Series more recently than the Mets and ever since cohen and his unfair money came along they rays have been way better. Can’t use the dodgers for the poster child of this they are the best run org with tons of money. Ask the angels too they always spend and suck
English

@timyos325 @MarkCHealey If people keep buying it and they make more money from it why make it cheaper? That’s how many places run their business
English

@SalD9786 @MarkCHealey No your wrong. A hot dawg at citi field used to cost much less before Juan Soto got here
English
