The Free Speech Union
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion·
** Software Engineer — Free Speech Union ** Free speech is under pressure. Courts, regulators and online platforms are making decisions faster than civil liberties organisations can respond — unless they have the right technology. We’re building that technology, and we need someone to help us. The Free Speech Union is looking for a software engineer to join a small, scrappy team that punches well above its weight. You’ll work across AI automation, systems integration and security — the infrastructure that lets us move fast and hit hard when it matters. This isn’t nine-to-five. You’ll be building systems that help us defend real people when they’re under attack for exercising their right to lawful free speech. That means: * Using AI to automate research, scanning and reporting so our case and legal teams always have the essential facts at their fingertips * Integrating our SaaS tools into a coherent platform — and driving routine admin time to zero * Being the organisation’s on-call AI specialist: building the sophisticated automations yourself, and teaching colleagues to handle the simpler ones * Securing our systems against real adversaries — activists who are motivated, capable and hostile to what we do Who we’re looking for: Someone who sees AI not as a novelty but as a genuine force multiplier — and wants to prove that the integration of AI into our work can help us win David-and-Goliath battles with far larger, better-resourced organisations, including the UK Government. You’ll have a CS degree or equivalent hands-on experience, proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, and the self-discipline to work remotely at pace. Security interest is a plus; the willingness to learn fast in an adversarial environment is essential. Most importantly, you’ll actually believe in what we’re doing. This role gives you direct involvement in cases that really matter — cases that can have a lasting impact on people’s ability to exercise a fundamental human right — not another CRUD app for a company that doesn’t need to exist. What we offer: £35,000–£40,000 · 8% pension · BUPA private healthcare · 20 days leave · full remote Full details and how to apply: freespeechunion.org/jobs/software-…

Look at how differently the police handled young football fans yesterday in comparison to the young looters in Clapham. They remembered how to use the batons again!

I’ve just learned that @leicspolice have investigated @ABridgen for sharing the Amelia video below. I’d like to inform the Leicestershire constabulary that I made the video, the @ukhomeoffice created the character, and that they’re great bloody Orwellian wankers who can sod right off. cc @makeukgood @AmeliaOnSolana @AmeliajakSolana @BasilTheGreat @benonwine @RupertLowe10 @RestoreBritain_ @elonmusk @godblesstoto @SmashJT @RoyalFamily
Huff@Huff4Congress

The prompts were simple. First, I told ⁦@grok⁩ to look at every single Amelia meme on the Internet. Second, I said: “Become Amelia, then make a video and tell the British people what you want them to know.” Here’s the surprising result.

The Man Who Paid In & The Man Who Paid Nothing. Meet Frank, the man who paid in. Frank turned 80 last winter. He grafted 52 years as a builder in Manchester, his hands and back are broken from laying bricks in pouring rain. Every week he paid his National Insurance. Never claimed benefits. Never broke the law. He raised two kids on a council estate, paid his taxes and did his bit for the country he loves. Now he shuffles to the post office in the same coat he’s worn since 2018. His old Nokia phone barely holds the charge. His State Pension is £241.30 a week, just over £12,500 a year, but after gaps, Frank gets less. He counts every penny. Some weeks it’s heating or eating. Last winter around 2,500 people in England died from cold associated causes. Frank keeps the thermostat at 15 degrees and wears jumpers indoors. "I’m not living," he tells his neighbour. "I’m just existing." His wife, Margaret, has been in a care home for two years, dementia stealing her away. Frank struggles to keep their old car on the road for weekly visits. One more breakdown and those trips could end. Every pension day is the same. Frank walks past the bookies where young fighting age men fresh off small boats shout, laugh and slap down stacks of cash twice as thick as his weekly pension. He keeps his head down, clutching his wallet, praying nobody follows him home. His street no longer feels like his street. Fewer familiar faces. Foreign languages. The corner shop is now a Turkish barbers. He feels all alone in the city he once helped build. Meet Ahmed, the man who paid nothing. Ahmed arrived on a dinghy last summer, one of 41,472 Channel crossings in 2025, mostly young men from Somalia, Eritrea, Afghanistan and Sudan. He tossed his documents into the sea, then claimed asylum the moment the dinghy touched the beach. No passport. No papers. No contributions. The Home Office puts him in a hotel. Heating on full. Three meals a day. Security on the door.Ahmed strolls the streets in new clothes and the latest iPhone, using free bus shuttles twice a day, drinking and laughing with friends outside the same bookies Frank avoids. He broke immigration rules entering the country uninvited. Once granted asylum, the door opens to UK benefits and housing. Frank paid in all his life and obeyed every rule. He built the Britain that now houses Ahmed. Ahmed has paid nothing and doesn't obey the rules, he receives shelter, warmth, food, free transport and pocket money while Frank rations food, huddles under blankets to keep warm and constantly worries about money. Tonight as Ahmed relaxes in a warm hotel room with new Nike trainers by the bed, wondering what’s for dinner. Frank sits in his cold home wondering why a lifetime of hard work brings only deprivation. This story is repeating in towns and cities across the country. This isn’t fairness. This is a betrayal. #UKNews #UKPolitics #StopTheBoats

This is the man that helped create the Climate Change Act that has resulted in the UK closing its fertiliser plants. Now he's worried about a lack of fertiliser. These people should be in prison.

They're spraying our skies everyday. Billionaire-backed Stardust Solutions is launching chemical sprays 11 miles above the entire U.S.—starting April. Hiding behind an EPA loophole to dodge all accountability. Why isn't anything being done about this?

My local high street has 6 Turkish Barbers.. 6 !!! and outside each one there’s always at least 3 men loitering throughout the day smoking! We all know you can get more than a haircut and shave in these establishments. Strange how trading standards never seem to intervene and even though we all know they are dealing drugs and weapons, the police do nothing! Organised crime in broad daylight! Gaslighting again. Starmer is the biggest divider in the country. He’s a sociopath. Here is your reminder that objecting to economic male migrants is NOT divisive. It’s also not divisive to raise concerns that these men of fighting age are frequently coming from countries whereby one may say it’s really rather barbaric. Whilst Starmer sees no issue with the mass grooming and raping of our children, we the people will not let this happen. This clown works for us. The only present he should be given for Easter is a P45 and escorted to prison.

A man in his 60s, putting up British flags in Shrewsbury today, was attacked by a woman in her 20s and hit in the face with a blunt object. He was left bleeding heavily from the head. Police and an ambulance were called. (Photos not shared due to ongoing police investigations). There is a campaign of intimidation going on in Shrewsbury right now, with those who are flying the flag being menaced and abused by masked thugs on the streets, and anonymous accounts online. Their behaviour has been validated by @ShropCouncil who have labelled those raising the flags as 'criminals' and 'terrorists', and have encouraged their staff to call the police on them. @WMerciaPolice have been filmed escorting masked men as they cut down flags and leave them hanging in tatters -- behaviour that's being further weaponised against patriots who are accused of making the streets look unsightly. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I'm speaking as Shropshire Council's only @_AdvanceUK member (so far), when I say that intimidation and violence is not ok when ANYONE does it. But let's be clear, to date, the patriots flying the flag in Shrewsbury have been polite, courteous, do not cover their faces, and have gone out of their way to make sure the streets and flags are tidy and neat. They have been using the proceeds of a fundraiser for the flags to fill in potholes and help pensioners and veterans with bills -- work that the council should rightly be doing but isn't, despite having just jacked up taxes by 9%. Conversely, those ripping the flags down have been masked and aggressive. And yet they're the ones getting the support of council and police. Truly, what is going on in this country? Things are getting very dark out there. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

If we are complaining about pensions then we should be complaining about the gold plated public sector pensions of civil servants, council workers that actually do very little Why are we paying for them to have absurdly high pensions yet draw the line at the triple lock?
