Very disappointed that we have had to take this step but actions by GMB members preventing vehicles leaving our depots yesterday and today have forced us to prioritise general household waste and suspend recycling collections until w/c 21 March.

Inflation is at 30 year high and there’s more in the pipeline: Producer input price inflation ran at 13.6% in Jan. Energy bills jump in April when OFGEM price cap rises 54%. Oil prices have risen since Jan VAT rate for hospitality/tourism firms rises from 12.5% to 20% in April.
