@Magdale03028309 We recommend loop in-ear plugs to secondary age pupils. A couple of Y11/13 students wear ear defenders in exams and aren’t at bothered by what other people say
English

@GillianKeegan Is that really the most important thing for you as Education minister, to be bothered with? Stick to facts - like the crisis in teacher retention, building safety and the rate of pupil absence, or are these just too difficult to fix?
English

This is ridiculous.
Universities should stand up for our British values and stop giving in to woke ideology.

@cupking11 @jamiesmart @quantick My bestie, who is epi-pen allergic to nuts, was 16 in 1980. Her allergy was very real
English

@jamiesmart @quantick 'People never used to be allergic to peanuts' is a VERY odd hill to die on.
As someone with a family member who has been to hospital (in the 80s and since) for this exact allergy, it makes me think the guy wasn't paying much attention.

@CantabKitty Our 6th formers are expected to support 2 KS3 lessons a fortnight in a subject of their choice. My daughter chose drama
English

@MichaelT1979 We have TA posts unfilled because the pay is so poor. I couldn’t lead the team if it weren’t for my hubby as I regularly do more then my paid hrs - and am expected to do so. It can’t continue much longer
English

@NespressoUK just wondering if there is an issue with the Stormio bar code? At least 1 in every tube malfunctions.
English

@darynsimon In our experience, it is the parents who struggle more - not having immediate face2face contact with teachers, allowing their child freedom to walk to and from school alone, parent playground mafia meetings. The list goes on

@Oates27 Mine was always an angel at primary; they don’t do nativity at secondary so she became a teenager.
I really hope she can be an angel again one day soon ……
English

@Creepy_jesu5 @anon_opin Quite happy with my Hotmail address. I do have others for work related emails, but for personal stuff this works for me. What I don’t have is a ridiculous, age defining handle before it!!
English

@anon_opin Same here, I am surprised how many people are still using yahoo and hotmail email addresses 20-25 years later.

@simon_davies2 @Teacherglitter Her Dad did the first motorway drive with her, but she did a ‘magic’ roundabout independently and drives me frequently since passing.
We spent so long together when she was learning that I miss that special time now
English

@Teacherglitter My daughter bought a car after she passed her test. I went with her to buy it. I also went with her the first time she drove on the Motorway.
English

How long did it take you to allow your kid to drive you… asking for a friend 😂😂 Not at all sure I am ready for that drama 😂😂
Ceridwen Eccles@Teacherglitter
Best news today! My son passed his driving test. Another milestone complete. Super proud mum 💕⭐️

@GillianKeegan @Conservatives So, if everything is so great, why are staff leaving in droves and more students failing to achieve their targets than ever before. Then there’s the SEN provision question ….
English

Under the @Conservatives, there are more opportunities to access high-quality technical education than ever before.
Under Labour, there were no T Levels, no HTQs, no apprenticeship standards & no Skills Bootcamps.
Why 🤔
We delivered them all.
English

@GillianKeegan @Conservatives Really? Prove it to all those struggling with childcare costs, decaying buildings, excessive workloads
English

The @Conservatives deliver:
The most generous childcare package in history.
The highest school funding ever.
More high-quality technical education than ever before.
We take the long-term decisions to create opportunities whilst the Labour party just play short-term politics.
English

@DrVikkiBurns @RogersHistory Yep. Remember my history teacher buying me a lunchtime drink on my 18th - together with a gift of 10 B&H!!
English

@RogersHistory At my sixth form, the pub up the road had two rooms. On a Friday lunchtime, students (often underage) resolutely turned right, staff (meant to be working) turned left, and we all pretended that we never saw each other 🤣
English

I'm not suggesting teachers piling off to the pub on Friday lunchtime should be brought back... but I am suggesting a culture where everything is slightly less high stakes, rigid and robotic would be very cool. Just a bit more chill. There's something about the old days to me that says 'human' a bit more.

@Miss_Snuffy Rejecting commercialisation in favour of a Christmas that suits the individual is a non-issue. Stop trying to create something that isnt there.
English

@Miss_Snuffy @marksandspencer Please stick to what you think you’re good at (being a headteacher) and don’t try to speak for others - particularly when many hate Christmas, work throughout it, get into debt over it, or are alone.
You don’t speak for me
English

I am sending this complaint letter to M&S @marksandspencer
We should all be complaining.
This is a fight for everything we should believe in.
Do not sit this one out.
Write a letter of complaint about that advert!!

@eon_next I’m currently paying £60/m. My last monthly bill was £47.52 which left me £70.63 in credit. Why do you now feel increasing my dd payments to £84.55 is justified?
This is a ridiculous and exorbitant increase to which I don’t agree. How do I refuse this increase?
