@twlldun Welsh referendum - 1997
Twin Town - 1997
Mind blown - 2025
English

@twlldun I KNEW it was Stanley Baker's fault we were still in the UK.
Even when it was the voters and everything else, I knew it was Stanley Baker.
English

@NedRyerson5 Ah, yes. Cricketers often hit the ball for non scoring shots too.
English

@cupking11 I'm wondering if it would be too stiff, harder on the hands and arms. A batsman in cricket plays the ball more often than in baseball (usually!). It might take its toll.

@Retired_BB If there's one thing I know about Scarlets and Ospreys fans, they are on a knife edge as to who to support.
Ffs!!!
English

@RickyHarries Prez...actly.
Not to mention them not getting a penny of my £20 annual spend.
English

My mate had a radical but horrific idea few weeks ago about these new entities and this is what i couldn't get through to him. WRU heavily owned sides not only blows apart the Anglo Welsh league but where's the money coming from because current investors will 100% walk

WalesOnline Rugby@WalesRugby
One thing really doesn't add up in WRU's plan as money men could walk away | @Steffan_Thomas1 walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/ru…
English

@Daniel_Sugarman Ah, yes. The famous Underpants Gnome model.
Step 1: Armed resistance against the Met
Step 2: ?
Step 3: Liberation for Palestine.
(And I'm NO fan of the Met).
English

Bob Vylan now calling for “armed resistance” against the Met Police, in case you were interested.

@s_coombsy This is worse than hitler!
Or should that be 'wurst'??
English

@s_coombsy The support is Rio Dyeran Dyeran....
See what you've started!!!
English

@555Husker @Retired_BB "Play games at Ponty"
There was a team that did that, and played multiple venues. No one went to see them.
English

@cupking11 @Retired_BB The maddening thing is that we’ve already been through this.
“There is no proper regional team for me to support. I would if I could.”
Ok - here’s the Dragons then. We’ve dropped the Newport. We embrace the regional word.
“Oh nah, not like that….”
English

@Rej13654 @Richard99366022 @LWaunfawr @jonmogs @Cardiff_Rugby If I were Bristol City Centre, I might think of having a bus from Temple Meads station to the ground. The nearest is I think the A1 bus to the airport, which stops a 5-10 minute walk around the corner.
Not sure if this is open to 'normal' bus travellers.
English

@Rej13654 @Richard99366022 @LWaunfawr @jonmogs @Cardiff_Rugby Although Bristol get reasonably good ticket sales, there's nearlly always space at the ground (they keep one of the ends - the old Ateo Stand - and most of the Lansdown upper tier pretty much empty unless they've sold out elsewhere)
English

The Eagle has landed ( none of that Eastern Eagles bollocks !) @Cardiff_Rugby C’mon Cardiff ! 🔵⚫️♥️🏉

English

@s_coombsy And that wider loyalty might even be stronger.
The fact that the club that I went to see with my dad will no longer exist is one bitter pill. To see my home town get a hammering would be another one.
That loyalty is double edged. Attack it and those people will never forget.
English

@s_coombsy And to shift them to:
- Something run by people you don't trust (because they are largely at fault for the current situation)
- New 'entities' (I like it) who have zero past
- Which might mean actual harm to something wider than the rugby clubs - your home town's economy
English

@Papaalphabravo @MikeLiamSmith I know it's a choice between a fictional dead person and an actual dead person, but this also stands more chance of being a success than the West Affinity Daffs vs the East Inclusion Leaks.
English

@cupking11 @MikeLiamSmith Ray Liotta ? Maybe if he was around to use his Goodfellas connections I could see it
English

It's pretty impressive to come up with the only plan that would be worse then the WRU's
Project Reunion@WelshRugbyUnity
@stevejabbajones Also think going to 2 would be a mistake - and would prefer a 2+1 model with a N Wales development region - but I totally agree with Foxy too about the need for new entities. None of these 4 teams are anywhere near 10k average (actually in the stadium & having paid full price).
English

@Papaalphabravo @MikeLiamSmith The guy from A Field of Dreams?
English

@MikeLiamSmith I wouldn’t mind but N Wales could not even make a success of football, a sport that is ingrained there, until a massive influx of money came in. Where the fuck is this money coming from for rugby up there ?
English

@Daniel_Sugarman So there's a split into The Real Your Party, The Continuity Your Party and It's Not Called Your Party Party.
English

Corbyn on IHRA: "I think a definition that requires examples to give it life and legs shows to me there's something badly wrong with the definition in the first place."
Interesting, as both the APPG on British Muslims & MEND Islamophobia definitions contain lots of examples 🤷♂️
