@symps247 @OurFavOnlineDoc Do you think SA will be what it is today without the whites and foreigners who contribute and own everything? If you gives were given power earlier I sincerely doubt SA will be what it is today
English

The skit addresses a very MINOR ISSUE which is that some SAns are against hard working foreigners whilst they lazy around. However, the main issue and what a majority of SAns are against is the high number of illegal foreigners in the country who are doing all sorts of things that undermine the livelihood of citizens. As an example, a lot of Nigerians came into the country with either a study visa or visitor’s visa and never left after their visas expired. Now you find the same people running drug businesses and brothel businesses. They clean their money by opening legitimate businesses on the side. Drugs and forced prostitution are killing our communities. Another example would be people from neighbouring countries getting into the country illegally with no identification (e.g Zim & Mozambique) they are notorious in their involvement in high jacking, house breaking, armed robbery and murders. That’s just some examples on the crime issue. Then there’s the labour issue, SA has laws that protect employees from being exploited and one way it’s by setting minimum wage and ensuring healthy working conditions. Because some businesses want cheaper labour they disregard these laws by hiring foreigners at a lower wage than the minimum wage. When SAns are fighting these businesses for a fair treatment of all employees it then becomes a problem whe foreigners are enabling the unfair practices. Then there’s issue of spirituality, some foreigners in SA practice rituals that may involve the sacrifice of humans or the raping of little kids. The country grants everyone the right to practice any religion of their choice but there’s also limitations i.e. when your rights interfere with someone’s else’s rights (e.g the right to life). There’s many more issues I can bring up.
In conclusion, this skit undermines the real issues faced. By overlooking the real issues and the real perpetrators are seen as victims without being scolded. One might say it’s just supposed to be funny and doesn’t need to be accurate. However, you can see here that the creators are trying to educate as much as they want people to laugh. So why educate without being accurate?

@symps247 @OurFavOnlineDoc You just wrote rubbish - do you know the effort it takes to run a drug cartel or brothel in a foreign land as a foreigner? Your people are the problem because they enable it. You didn’t mention the very low literacy rate of the average SA who are also unwilling to study and work

@SudotechLimited @yabaleftonline Do you knw how much power Dubai generates compared to Nigeria? The folks in Dubai put off their lights when not needed to reduce the light bill
English

Below is Dubai. They turn these towers' lights on at night and turn them off around 10pm - 11pm. Nigerians don’t know electricity costs money and needs to be preserved because the government pays subsidies for it. If you live in Band A, you will understand why people turn off lights they don’t use.

English

Interviewer: “People complain you didn’t give them electricity, suddenly you people will only provide 1 hour of electricity for them. How does that work?"
NEPA official in Bayelsa State: “The way the people use the light is the problem. Once they see light, they will turn on their freezer, washing machine, pumping machine, and other electric appliances. Energy they should consume in one week, they will consume it in just one hour.”
English

@Miss_Lorlai @yabaleftonline Are you okay ? Is estimated bill legal? What if I don’t use as much as my neighbor and I’m asked to share the cost?
English

@yabaleftonline Wrong quote
The ma was explaining about why the still give bills even though you don’t have enough light for the month
Guys do better and stop rage baiting
English

@yabaleftonline Dear Nigerians, please turn off all bulbs 💡and electrical appliances you don’t use when there’s light. It’s the standard practice everywhere in the world. We need to conserve energy.

They told us Ambode was 'disloyal' so he had to go. Now Sanwo-Olu hands power to his deputy without asking us. Is Lagos still a democracy or a monarchy with a new face every 4 years? #tinubu #ambode #sanwoolu #lagosstate #fyyypp

Listen to Seedorf elaborate further on pressing and defensive shape. He wasn't impressed today. Really good analysis 👏

Seedorf backing Arsenal for the UCL title. Brilliant attacking ability on display. A dream watching as a neutral. But as entertaining as that was, it was also equally shambolic defensively.
