1970年代に医学専門誌に掲載された精神科治療薬の広告。これらは一般の目に触れない医師向けの媒体だったため、現代のコンプライアンスや倫理基準では到底許容されないほど、患者の幻覚や妄想、内面の恐怖を剥き出しにした前衛的かつ衝撃的なグラフィックが多数採用されていた。 同一人物の身体が激しくズレて崩壊していくようなエフェクト（1978年・テグレトール）や暗闇の部屋の隅で強烈な孤独を背負い座り込む女性（1978年・メレリル）、生身の女性が奥に行くにつれて生気を失い真っ白なマネキンへと変貌していく描写（1975年・アナフラニール）、さらには巨大な手が男の背後に迫る強烈な構図（1970年・セレネース）など、その表現は見る者の不安を直接煽るような凄まじい緊迫感を放っていた。 病理の苦しみを視覚的に「そのまま可視化する」という、制作者側の強烈なエゴと凄まじいアート性によって生み出されたこれらの広告は、服薬指導や倫理観が厳格化された現代においては決して再現できない、日本のグラフィックデザイン史および医療史における「禁忌の芸術」として今なお静かな衝撃を与え続けている。

I guestimate at least 40% of the people in these queues are Indians every time I'm there. No judgement - just an observation. Thailand's tourism has done a complete 180, with a huge number of Indian tourists now heading here.
