BREAKING: The Cabinet on Tuesday has approved a revision of its visa-free entry policy, ending the blanket 60-day stay for travellers from 93 countries and territories. The government says the move is intended to reduce abuse of the system while balancing tourism and national security.
Under the new rules, visitors from 59 countries and territories will be allowed visa-free stays of up to 30 days, while nationals of Mauritius and Seychelles will receive 15-day visa-free entry. India will move from Visa on Arrival to a 15-day visa exemption.
The government said the changes will take effect 15 days after publication in the Royal Gazette. Authorities will also strengthen the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system to improve traveller screening and monitor visa use. #ThailandNews#Visa#Tourism#TDAC

Chonburi's governor has ordered officials to carry out strict fire safety inspections at Pattaya's entertainment venues, including those on Walking Street.
Two British tourists in Chiang Mai say they were charged nearly ฿150,000 after a night at a karaoke bar.
The venue claims the sum reflects hours of services with multiple hostesses at 700 baht an hour per person.
Police have summoned both sides for talks.
nothin personal (i’ve met this dude; seemed lovely) but do y’all find “look @ me go native” creators cringey? maybe it’s not as performative as it seems. maybe i’m too old to imagine selfie-filming “authentic moments” is even possible. maybe i see & miss younger self! but damn 😝
Filling pints up to the brim is one of the dumbest traditions/standards we all just accept. Beer is wasted through spillage, wet hands, wet tables, and lots of mopping up for bar staff. A slightly bigger glass is a solution a smart species would choose.
A reader wrote a ST forum post asking LTA to review School Zone measures (e.g. it being enforced at all times) after his wife was fined $300 + 8 demerit points.
Thing is, she went 55km/h (which exceeds the 40km/h limit AND default 50km/h limit for roads).
🇹🇭 at it’s best:
With a gritty gym experience complete with several calf raising machines, Capt America weight sets, and a room temp that makes you sweat, a daily fee of 40thb is exceptional. No nap pods, salt rooms, or anyone sitting on equipment updating Insta. #khonkaen
Bangkok’s Chatuchak district office has ordered the closure of a building at the site of a beer factory fire for 30 days.

@MyLordBebo If you ever saw the overhead electrical wiring on the streets in BKK & all over TH you’d think how does this not happen more.
Nothing is up to “code” if there is a code which is doubtful.
🇹🇭🚨‼️ INSANE FIRE IN BANGKOK CLUB!
Flames shot 20 meters (65 feet) out of the entrance. People inside had no chance.
Unfortunately, at least 29 dead.
What caused such a raging fire shooting into the streets? That’s insane.
@Neets21@TheRAC_UK@RAC_Care I had this recently too. A girl friend broke down at 130 am on her own in east london, moddle of nowhere. AA quoted 3 hours.
My daughter’s car broke down at 11pm The RAC told her they would get to her between 2.30 and 5.30am. A lone female.
What an absolute joke.
