@LiddellClaying It’s a real shame, especially in current government environment. Getting renewables and carbon capture forced down our throats and then you have to burn ~50,000t of pine seems crazy. You want carbon capture? Why not have a market/incentive for the resource they want us to grow

@SamAgroFethers Is a shame for the landowners really that a market cannot be made, lack of port access has been the nail in coffin for Esperance! A local biomass market would be the best outcome, you could build a grain dryer run on woodchips!

@todd_venning @agromons Unfortunately we have no other option.I have offered those pines to the market for free and there still isn’t anyone that is willing to commit to harvesting them. What a waste of a product, posts, timber etc. The fact that we are seeing pines getting planted in SW makes me cringe

@andrewdunx @johnfetha @redekopmfg @BertolaJosh Claim up to 98% seed destruction. Even if it 90-95 It’s still a hell of a lot better than doing nothing, in it for the long game. Reliable harvest weed seed control was what we were looking for not something that we had to turn off due to conditions like I’ve seen on other mills

Mallee mattock got a workout chasing these Safflower roots. Have been concerned about whether the tap root would get through these hostile subs. Looks like these plants made their way through the dome clay and down into some moisture. Rainfall really tapered off since August.

For those interested in blackleg in our F&G F1 F2 trial: Trophy in a high pressure canola wheat canola rotation showing high aerial blackleg pressure, looks worse in the F1/F2 blends. Trifecta affected also but not as bad
