A bit too much light pollution but I loved seeing the torches of everyone coming down the hill. We saw some colour too 💜💚🩷 plus we saw a helicopter rescue!

I know this is nothing new, but I just checked my student loan and it's just comically absurd - I've been charged 3x as much interest as I've paid off so far this year; my total loan is almost £10k bigger than when I left university. Completely futile @SF_England

@iamnicksimpson I’m quite happy paying the fees over time and think we’re privileged to receive the education. The frustration is with the super high interest (above base rate) so I’m having no impact 🥲

I think it’s a bit mad that, as an Architect, I pay a good chunk toward paying off my student loan each month, yet the ridiculous 6.25% interest rate means the I’m still not even clearing the interest 🙃 will the balance just continue to rise forever? What’s the point? 🤣

I’m not interested in having kids but I’ve watched first-hand how difficult managing a job and childcare can be! It’s completely unaffordable and makes it often impossible for people to return to work 🙁

There's nothing fiscally credible about keeping parents out of work by denying them the support they need. Universal childcare would boost the economy, raise educational attainment and improve gender equality. Investing in our children benefits us all.

@SamDugdaleArch Hi. I have never worked more than 4 days a week in the past 30 years. I didn’t get kickback from consultants/ contractors but then I would answer the phone on my day off. Still do! Currently on 2 days a week. That’s more challenging for AT to manage but it generally works ok.
