When sighted in groups, they display pack coordination and acoustic signaling that suggests a complex social structure. Monarch field teams recorded their distinctive quill arrays vibrating in unison during pursuit, behavior believed to aid in spatial awareness within subterranean darkness. Little else is known of their origin, but evidence indicates they are surface migrators from deep below, drawn upward through terrestrial fissures in response to seismic activity and Titan migration cycles.
