9-Aug-22 ... a fire destroyed my flat & nearly took my life. Earlier today I collected the keys to my reinstated home ... tears! Tomorrow movers come to do their thing! Pix of are unbelievable! PLEASE check your smoke alarms are working & DON'T charge LiIon batteries unattended!

@Nyrs_Emma First computer I ever used was a remote mainframe using a tty terminal. Accessed using a phone and acoustic coupler running at 300 bits per second. Programming was in BASIC with storage on punched paper tape. I feel old! Lol

TRUE! My A levels got me into medical school … 3 years in I realised it was not my calling. After 27 years with a BA and MSc in IT I needed to feed my heart and now 8 years and a BSc later I am still loving being a nurse! Not a fallback … nursing is a choice for me.
