We just got our hands on the court docs and charging information for the 18-year-old accused of threats against Center Grove High School. Adrian Abundio-Valente is charged with intimidation, a level 6 felony. Investigation started Thursday night when Center Grove High School's official Instagram account got several messages from another user: "Im walking in tomorrow with a ARP and im killing everyone thats in my sight" "Better have yo school and shut down" "Racist ass piece shit school" "Blockin after this message for personal reasons, but doesn't mean im stopping" "So be careful tomorrow" According to court documents, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office filed an emergency request with Meta—the parent company of Instagram—to obtain the identity and owner information of the account. Investigators got the information back about four hours later. The IP information led to police to an address on Breen Court in Indianapolis, near 38th and Post. Police would later obtain a search warrant on the home, and at around 5:30 this morning, IMPD SWAT made entry and detained four people, including Abundio-Valente. Court documents say Abundio-Valente told police he made the threats because he was upset with a planned counter protest at the school, which was protesting against the anti-ICE protest the next day. Police recovered a Glock 19, semiautomatic handgun in the home as well as a drawing labelled "the home invasion," which Abundio-Valente admitted to drawing. He reportedly wrote an apology letter to CGHS students (I copied this verbatim, including spelling and grammar errors): "Dear Center Gove Highschool students my name is Adrian Abundio Valente, I am the person who sent the threat to the school, I wanted to apologize for making a stupid wrong choice for scaring the students there, I didnt really mean to threat the whole school it was just a wrong decision I made because I hared students are doing a counter protest against ice." Court documents say police conducted mass student screenings at CGHS on Friday morning using weapon detection systems. The Johnson County Prosecutor is asking for a higher than standard bond at $80,000 cash only. Right now, we have no word on a future court date for Abundio-Valente. @WTHRcom
