I am heartbroken to tell you that my darling brother Fr Dermott, @TweeterPriest, sadly passed away this afternoon. We are all beyond devastated. Thank you for your messages of sympathy and support, they are appreciated 🙏 DD

@antanddec @TweeterPriest Hi @antandec I remember Deremott very well from the YMT when I was in school. He was a lovely man and I remember seeing him on his 20th anniversary of his priesthood. Although it's been a while since I saw him he remains a part of my journey in my Catholic faith 1/2

Not only was he one of the greatest physicists of all time, but he was a massive role model that disabilities cant hold you back from achieving anything you set your mind to. We have lost a truly inspirational man today. Rest in Peace Stephen Hawking

I may be losing up to 25% of my university contact hours and face the prospect of walking through a picket line to gain access to the library because of the upcoming university strikes and yet fellow students are telling me to show solidarity with the staff. No chance.
