Perhaps there could be a way to make the canes more robust but still lightweight at the same time!

3 white Canes cracked in just 3 weeks! Why? Because people didn’t see them coming as they were too busy on their phones while walking. But luckily, I had the most awesome experience at the @RNIB shop in London where the most helpful volunteers Annette and Joan made my day.

Today I met with the victims of the #ManchesterAirport incident. I paid my commiserations which but for the grace of God could have been condolences. The brothers are in a bad way physically and emotionally. Their brother a police officer with @gmpolice and their uncle a detective with @metpoliceuk were also present alongside their lawyer @Akhmedyakoob1 There are no fewer than EIGHT police officers in their extended family. One of those was given a Police honour guard at his funeral three months ago in the Bilal Mosque which I attended. That such a family could find themselves in the middle of this situation is bemusing to say the least. I welcome the @policeconduct announcement of a criminal investigation into the actions of one officer. ALL of the officers involved should be suspended from duty forthwith and further criminal investigations launched. But the system is finally working and should be allowed to do so. I am firmly of the view that the protest at the airport this weekend should NOT go ahead. Everyone should display patience and calm at this time. We believe in justice, no matter who it's for or who it is against.

Had the liberating experience of using Aira at Boston airport to find my way to the bathroom and then to the British Airways check-in desk. It was really fun as it felt like I was a live character in a video game.

Another two international trips with @British_Airways and couldn't get audio description. The staff did not know how to turn it on. BA claim to have an accessible system, but it doesn't work. #accessibility

If every cinema was fined £500 every time a blind customer was unable to watch a film without #audiodescription because a headset wasn’t charged or wasn’t available do you think that would help to make cinema #accessible?

In the meantime, an easy way round is to offer free wifi on board so I can at least use my phone to access Netflix or the internet so I’m not extremely board on the plane!!! I'm writing to request you look into this as a matter of urgency.
