I'm under no obligation to like it because you want me to. How is playing this game all the way through twice not giving it a fair shot? That's silly.

@LairaLyon @SuperButterBuns I'm certainly not a superfan anymore. I'll probably play KH4 eventually if it's on Steam, but I can't get excited for it. If I hadn't spent so long waiting for KH3 I probably wouldn't even have an opinion on it, I still wouldn't like it, but I probably wouldn't hate it as much

@LairaLyon @SuperButterBuns I'm aware of the discourse, I lived on KH message boards from 04-07, but I would say that it was hated more pre-release. I was one of them, there was a brief time where people thought they were going to pull a Metal Gear 2 bait & switch with Sora and Roxas.

@SamNash239 @SuperButterBuns I was also just giving you an actual tip to improve your next playthrough. I personally wish 0.2 was KH3’s built in prologue but I understand why they didn’t do that considering the overall reaction to the Roxas prologue in 2. You have to keep in mind that it was hated at release

Also, I can assure you that there were just as many people defending Roxas's prologue on KH message boards (relatively) as there are defending KH3

@SamNash239 @SuperButterBuns I’ll give you the lack of coliseum, but go back and play KH2 again, a lot of those revisits feel pointless, and the ones that don’t usually had a lackluster first visit. I also like KH2’s tutorial but you’re ignoring the context that most people absolutely hated it at KH2s launch

I have played the game you're referring to, but it didn't change how I felt about KH3. What about Kingdom Hearts 3 specifically do you think is such an improvement for the series in general?

@SamNash239 @SuperButterBuns Of course they’re going to try and throw you back into the main game immediately with KH3 given how the Roxas section was received. If you really want that feeling of a full game prologue, play Aqua’s 0.2 immediately before KH3 and you get a similar experience.

@LairaLyon @SuperButterBuns OK, Pavlov. KH2 split the stories of worlds so thay you'd return and instead of just forget them like the one-and-done sequel, it had a goddamn COLISEUM, and the tutorial felt like it's own side-game. The press triangle to win shit sucked, but KH3 was much worse on that

@LairaLyon @SuperButterBuns Both. Went into it with low expectations knowing it is a children's game and the writing/dialogue would make me want to suck start a shotgun. However, I was still disappointed and felt robbed that I paid full price for a game less fleshed out than the 13 year old predecessor

@BobbyFGamer I started playing them in 2002 since apparently that means something and my expectations were already low. No returning to worlds in story. No coliseum. Annoying NPC chatter. "Press Triangle to Win" worse than KH2. Pixar 🤮 Kingdom Heart 2's tutorial was a better game than KH3
