A lesson in appalling customer service - and creating problems through the simple act of failing basic standards: - airline flight late (standard). But no public communication. - 45 minutes. Late departure. - Lands late but with 30 min to make connections. - Plane sits on tarmac

A (sadly real) story created out of nothing (people just doing their job, not even going above and beyond, would have avoided that) by @Qantas and their clear need for a CCEO (Chief Customer Experience Officer) ... And human/adult in charge.

And "go to other end of terminal for a compensation". - Get to other end. "Nope, we have nothing. They have those". - Get back. Initial lady runs away and palm it to other. I get...$15 gift card. (Cost of a salad is $24...). - Now, wait 4hrs. Miss all bookings. Pay $$$.

Do your data and reporting the @Qantas way for a flawless track record. Flight due to depart at 12.05. Officially (app and desk) delayed. Screens: at 12.03, standing in the airport, "On Time".

I must have missed a phase here. All my curated feed is now made up of "verified" (aka paid $$$ for it) accounts. That was a shameful mark months ago... Are we at the point when we all adopt the paid worst of humanity and call it another Tuesday?

Data is cheap. Insight is expensive. Storytelling is priceless.

Talk to customers, not pixels. Attribution is broken - that last click does not count the 9 other touchpoints. Nor the impact from all these newsletters, weekly updates, or Linkedin posts. #Marketing

Well, I tried. The new ChatGPT image model with a prompt/test I saw, from 25 to 95. The interesting outcome: the consistency in the face and its evolution. Now, onto telling my wife what the (her) future looks like... 😅 #ChatGPT #AI
