@firstladyship @penisaweapon Both camps knw that Atiku’s ambition to run is a smoke screen, bcos the end-game is to give Obi/KK the ticket. APC will rather not hv ADC on the ballot box than run against Obi/KK. That’s why INEC made that move on ADC. ADC and Atiku know what they are doing

@DavidHundeyin Enlightenment is the key. When the minds of the people are under manipulation, their captors remain in control. As long as our people are not mentally liberated, every action they take will bring them back to the hands of their captors. Sadly, they do not know they are captives.

Dele Farotimi. A victim of Nigeria
The problem is that you lot are easily manipulated and distracted, David wouldn’t steal a dime of anyone’s money, and if he is a man ruled by avarice, it wouldn’t be the kobo kobo of the news platform he founded, where he’s unpaid, that he’d steal. This is a hatchet job..

@DeleFarotimi I am not surprised at this news, I told you sometime that you Him you say you are and David can be biased, now to add corruption to his resume. Chai

Que sera sera. Maybe we don't deserve to survive if we've spent 500 years repeating the same class and we've somehow failed it again. If Nigerians are determined to go extinct, then so be it. Since the colonizers have AI/automation and don't need local labour this time around, I hope they finish the job and make it quick.

NIGERIA'S OBSESSIVE MATERIALISM - A POSTCOLONIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL CRISIS From iPhone 17 replicas to car model “upgrades” using after-market body kits, Nigeria's infamous "I-better-pass-my-neighbour" cultural meme has graduated from simple nuisance to becoming a driver of real economic jeopardy. Fuelled by a debilitating societal inferiority complex and high levels of extreme poverty, a new trend of disturbingly obsessive brand awareness has created a booming "insecurity economy," characterised by after-market smartphone design modification, "car model upgrade" body kit installation, Indian temple hair importation, and many other dodgy activities built exclusively around exploiting the insecurities of 230 million poor people. Already struggling with an anaemic, sub-industrialised economy and IMF-imposed economic austerity, Nigeria's "insecurity economy" has now become an economic opportunity for unscrupulous entrepreneurs in industrialised countries, as Nigerians haemorrhage their scarce financial resources on a desperate quest to signal imaginary status to one another. It’s time for a cultural shift. Scientific education, economic empowerment and spiritual awakening must displace obsessive, spiritually bankrupt, low-level consumerism. If this will be Africa's century, the continent needs its most populous country to break free from this psychological trap.

You did not read the judgment. The judge did not mention our party anywhere. The paper that reported the fake news was irresponsible, just like you sharing the fake news. The judge spoke about the All Peoples Congress, which the asylum seeker said he joined in 2007. We are not that APC. We are the All Progressives Congress, formed in 2013.

@chude__ The North don’t need to come to the South. Regardless of insecurity, they are privileged by being in power for many yrs. The oil blocks in the South are largely owned and controlled by them. Jobs in government parastatals are largely occupied by Northerners. It’s not 🍎 4 🍎

@AishaYesufu If a Northern Candidate was going to run for 2027 election, will he do one term, considering that the South has just done one term after Buhari? Y’all are talking about PO doing one term whereas the North want to do two terms, after BAT. The South need to wake up & unite..

Aisha Yesufu@AishaYesufu·
I, Aisha Yesufu can confirm that Mr Peter Gregory Obi has always said he would do just a term even before the 2023 election. I used to argue with him that one term is not enough and he can’t just refuse to contest. Infact I told him on several occasions while we were campaigning in 2022 that the people will not allow him to do just a term. He would use Nelson Mandela as example. He would explain that if one was ready to really work that a term was more than enough! Early this year, I went back to him to ask If he truly meant what he said about doing just a term. Many from the north had shown concern over support for Peter Obi might lead to an extra 4 years for the south. I told him that I was going to speak of his promise to do one term only publicly and I needed his confirmation on doing a term as my integrity mattered to me and I wouldn’t want to say something and it turns out not to be so. Mr Peter Obi once again gave me his word that he was going to do only one term.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

My One-Term, Four-Year Vow Is Sacrosanct One of the greatest American Presidents, Abraham Lincoln, served only four years, yet his legacy endures as a model of principled leadership. Another iconic figure, John F. Kennedy, did not even complete a full term, yet his vision and ideals continue to inspire generations. In Africa, Nelson Mandela, revered globally as a symbol of justice and reconciliation, chose to serve only one term as President of South Africa, despite immense public pressure to stay longer. His decision was a deliberate act of leadership, a statement that power must serve the people, not the self. Indeed, history shows that the longer many African leaders remain in power, the more likely they are to be corrupted by it. Longevity in office is not a mark of success; rather, it is purposeful, accountable service - however brief - that defines true statesmanship. It is within this context that I reiterate my vow: I will serve only one term of four years if elected President. And that vow is sacrosanct. I am fully aware that the decay in our society has made trust one of the scarcest and most sceptically viewed commodities. Many Nigerians, understandably, no longer take politicians at their word. But even in this climate of cynicism, there are still a few whose actions have matched their words - whose integrity is built on verifiable precedent. Recently, I became aware of two statements aimed, albeit indirectly, at my vow to serve only a single four-year term. One person remarked that even if I swore by a shrine, I still wouldn’t be believed. Another suggested that anyone talking about doing only one term should undergo psychiatric evaluation. I understand the basis of their scepticism. They are judging me by their own standards - where political promises are made to be broken. But they forget, or perhaps choose to ignore, that Peter Obi is not cut from that cloth. I have a verifiable track record that speaks louder than speculation. In my political life, my word is my bond. When I entered politics in Anambra State, I made clear and measurable promises to the people: to improve education and healthcare, to open up rural areas through road construction, and to manage public funds with prudence. I fulfilled each of those promises without deviation. I did not swear by a shrine, nor have I been certified mentally unstable as a result of honouring my word. My vow to serve only one term of four years is a solemn commitment, rooted in my conviction that purposeful, transparent leadership does not require an eternity. If making such a promise qualifies me for psychiatric evaluation, then we may as well question the mental fitness of those who framed our Constitution, which clearly stipulates a four-year renewable tenure. I maintain without equivocation: if elected, I will not spend a day longer than four years in office. In fact, I believe that service should be impactful, not eternal. We must rebuild trust in our country. I have dedicated my public life to demonstrating that leadership with integrity is not a myth. I have done it before, and I do not intend to betray that trust under any circumstances. Forty-eight months is enough for any leader who is focused and prepared to make a meaningful difference. In that time, I intend not merely to make an impression, but to deliver on concrete promises to: sanitise our governance system; tackle insecurity through effective and accountable use of national resources; prioritise education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation; catalyse small businesses as engines of growth ; and combat corruption with unflinching resolve. Above all, I will dedicate myself to transforming Nigeria from a consuming nation into a productive one, where agriculture, technology, and manufacturing replace rent-seeking and waste as our national anchors. These are not utopian dreams. They are realistic, actionable goals that are achievable within four years. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

The one thing Agbados are so afraid of, is a handshake between Peter Obi & the Muslim North. WALK WITH ME, I will tell you why. Marriage between a Southern Christian & a Northern Muslim could unite what is arguably the most tumultuous union in recent history. The Agbados dread that so much. In their minds? "This will never happen, & it shouldn't happen!" And so, they have gone to work. First, they almost turned what was purely a "state funeral," into a politics of sorts. I noticed that my harmless tweet on Peter Obi’s well-intentioned visit to Daura, has turned the Agbados to a type of nervous wreck. They are beside themselves; perplexed is putting it mildly. Not that I want to score any type of cheap political point, but Obi's visit was symbolic. Nothing about the man will ever lead to any type of bad blood. He is quite restrained. When you come close, you quickly get the sense of a humble billionaire, whose love & passion for the poor is almost Buhari-like. Although from opposite poles (at odds with each other), there is nothing that providence cannot handle. There is this thing called the "unseen hand of God," it is there, working from the shadows. It takes a certain type of eye to see it. Esoteric as it sounds, it is there, & real. My only appeal to everyone is not to see this as some sort of messianic hubris, but to look inward. Look to your conscience, let it speak. I am not the type to be vain nor conceited. What I am is the girl you all know. I am not a preacher; it takes a certain type of girl to preach. However, I always try to dissect the symbolism or the deeper meaning of everything Peter Obi represents. He doesn't get out of bed, unless it is worth it. Call me your navigator, a kind of compass ferrying you through his political journey. My job is deeper than many of you know. I have never lied to you, I won't start now. My hope is that we all can open our mind's eye to see beyond tribalism & religion. There is more to Nigeria than meets the eye. Nigeria is facing historic bad numbers. Nothing is looking good! INEC has a great track record of re-electing a vast majority of misfits. It is bad for Nigeria to have a completely configured APC-controlled one-party state. These are historical warning signs; State Capture is bad for any African nation. One of the things keeping the APC in power, is a generation divided along religious & tribal lines. The APC dread "unity," they will do all it takes to keep things the way they are. When you look at Nigerians who are less than 50, they split even (in terms of whether we should end up like our bigoted parents, or chart a new course). Those older than 50 are more at peace with re-electing Bola (than the younger generation). Then there is a third group. Pretty overwhelmingly, the youths believe that Peter Obi is the best man for the job. So Nigerians have work to do with older voters. For those eager to vote for Peter one more time? Thank you for being with us; the Obidients are grateful. Contrary to public option, we are a reasonable people. We come from the best Nigerian respectability. We are the future friends you haven't even met. The Obidients may be hotheads, Nigeria has never been good to us. But our heart is in the right place. We are perfectly positioned to strike at the very heart of Agbado Empire. There is strength in numbers, & I'm reaching out. Together? We are more than formidable. "The Dream that is Nigeria" can only come alive when we unite & work together. What politics & tribalism have divided, let Peter unite it. He is right outside, knocking. Open your mind to receive him. He is that boy that every parent would want. Don't you want the Messenger of Hope, Compassion, Unity, & the Harbinger of the New Nigeria that is POssible? C'mon guys! What can you possibly lose? The worst that could happen is "you gain a friend." 👌
