So you’re meaning to tell me I went through all of that medical trauma, two weeks ago, and they still ended up with an “insufficient sample” to determine whether my precancerous cells are high risk or not. It was all for nothing. I’m so fucking angry and upset.

@highashoped I went to a concert where I had meet and greet. This allowed you in early, you did meet and greet then they sent you back outside before letting you in again 10 mins before doors. Some girl numbered everyone when It made no odds as we were all early entry. Annoyed me no end.

i’ll never understand people who are against fan numbering in concert queues when it’s by far the fairest system and the one that creates a healthier environment. i can’t think of a single reason to be against it unless ofc you plan on cutting in line

@DF97678 @coasterstudios Even if it does not remove all of Merlin's clientele it will still mean a chunk of them will swap to universal. Some people will pick one trip to universal a year over merlin. personally would swap my two merlin passes for one universal pass when possible.

@coasterstudios Why do we keep saying that Universal is a pressure for Thorpe? A universal pass for most at launch will be out of reach affordability whilst Merlin will continue to provide a budget option for weekly visits.

Thorpe Park has closed their rapids, which take up quite a large plot of land. With the incoming pressure from Universal Great Britain, could Merlin be planning a big new attraction in its place? What would you like to see in this space?

@lntamin The weather has to be a big reason plus people are idiots and can't be trusted to stay seated. I don't like water rides personally and hate them even more when it's cold which is most of the year in the UK 😂

@LewisJ815PARKS "something has to be done". Maybe they could have fixed their system to make it fairer rather than booting out an entire type of disability? Why should neurodiverse people pay so normal park goes can get on the ride 5 mins faster?

“Why can Paultons/drayton still include xyz but Merlin can’t” Because they have entirely different clientele and the volume of those using RAP at those parks. So the change is not needed there. Begging people to look at things a little more objectively instead of emotionally

@LVCoasters This is so sad. They really need to rethink this move it's utter lunacy. I'm also neurodiverse so I totally understand how for some people it's utterly exhausting doing a theme park day the standard way.

Just had a nosey and turns out I'm officially no longer eligeble for a RAP. For contaxt, I'm neurodivergent, and I really struggle to put into words the state I used to be in at the end of a theme park day without a RAP. I put off getting a card and suffered for years out of(1/2)

@daniellismore You just don't understand. What Bowie and others like him did, is completely different to a fat balding middle-age man in a bikini claiming he should be able to use the womens toilets. Its different to average men competing and winning in women's sports...etc

I genuinely cannot understand how generation above me ended up here. We grew up idolising David Bowie and through him discovered Lou Reed and Iggy Pop. We lived through punk and post punk smashing gender norms in public. We watched Prince blur masculinity and desire. We danced to Boy George. We worshipped Grace Jones. Then came the flamboyance of the eighties where androgyny excess and self invention were celebrated. Gender bending was not a threat. It was art. It was freedom. It was cool. So how did the same generation become so hostile to people simply existing outside rigid boxes. How did we go from celebrating difference to fearing it. This backlash does not come from culture or history. It comes from forgetting who we were and what we stood for. None of this is new. Get over it.

@BladeoftheS Would like to point out for the people in the comments who are blaming the supermarkets that they don't pick the size of the products. If Cadbury made the box smaller but charges Tesco the same price or more for that box they can't do much about it.

Quality Street is a sign of everything in British Supermarkets like Tesco. Over the years you get less and less, while paying more and more.
