Our party office in Bally has been attacked and vandalised by BJP hooligans. This is not the democracy Bengal believes in. We condemn this violence. The people will not be intimidated.

Why is the BJP at war with fellow Indians? Why is the judiciary silently watching the destruction of West Bengal? Is this what you voted for? What's going to happen to the state for the next 5 years of this is not even day one of the BJP administration? #DestructionBYTHEBJP #BengalSuffers

BJP has crossed all limits by setting the TMC office in Siliguri on fire. They are consumed by a thirst for destruction. How is the Godi Media silent now? Such destructive tactics reveal their true autocratic nature.

I congratulated Modi on winning Bihar and someone said I’d “sold out.” That says more about their thinking than mine. A win is a win. No shame in acknowledging it. The real shame? When the state fails to improve lives for every citizen. Politics isn’t zero-sum - progress shouldn’t be either.

If your religion is teaching you that all human beings are not human beings, there’s something horribly wrong with the religion you practice, or at least your interpretation of it.

#WATCH | Kolkata | BJP's Suvendu Adhikari shows his winning certificate after clinching the Bhabanipur assembly seat with a landslide against the West Bengal CM and TMC candidate Mamata Banerjee. He says, "This was very important. Defeating Mamata Banerjee was crucial. This is Mamata Banerjee's retirement from politics... This time, too, she lost by over 15,000 votes. Muslims voted for her openly. In Ward No 77, all the Muslims who came out to vote voted for Mamata, and Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists blessed me and made me win. This victory is a victory for Hindutva... All the CPM's strong supporters voted for me. The CPM had 13,000 votes in Bhawanipur, and at least 10,000 of them were transferred to me. I also express my gratitude to the CPM voters down there. All the Bengali Hindus voted openly for me. Along with them, Gujaratis, Jains, Marwaris, Purvanchalis, and the Sikh community all voted openly for me… Amit Shah called me two or three times. He also expressed some concern about Bhabanipur. I told him a while ago. I haven't spoken with anyone else. I wasn't allowed to use the phone, so I didn't speak. I'm going to tell him now. He's waiting. I also need to get the Nandigram certificate."

@JonFDanilowicz @BJP4India A good start to indulge in the internal politics of the subcontinent that belongs to Bharat, is to find a way to afford & use a bidet toilet in lieu of wiping your ass with toilet paper each morning For now, the dingleberries that hang off your anus need your attention

Whatever is going on in India right now should remind all of us across the world why democratic institutions need to be protected by the people. Today, three very strong opposition stalwarts were ousted in state-level elections in Kerala, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. While you think about this also remember state-level elections are very different than national elections. There are very good reasons people voted against incumbents at the state-level. While Kerala and Tamil Nadu can be salvaged, the same is not true of West Bengal.

All opposition parties should learn from the BJP. They don’t have a government at the Centre, they don’t have agencies like the ED, CBI, or Income Tax, they don’t have influence over judges or the national media. Opposition parties can’t deploy the military wherever elections take place and most importantly, they don’t have Sir Gyanesh Kumar.

A day victorious for BJP 1. Biggest win is in West Bengal. Within 10 years look how far BJP has gone from 3 to nearly 200 2. Retaining Assam with even higher number of seats with no signs of anti incumbency. 3. From zero to 2 in Kerala. The way BJP works next 10 years can be a different story for Kerala altogether The biggest takeaway so far: Every other political party should learn from BJP - how to contest elections.

@JungleTige35678 @ZZoariah Yes, my friend. I do know about them piggybacking the Left there only to kill them first She deliberately asked a cute question (Classic Al Taqiyya modus operandi). If the basic premise of her question is Hindu-Muslim, where does the Atheist Left even come into the picture?

@SamarPatel44617 @ZZoariah Do you know that is exactly what the rabid Islamist did in Iran after the 1979 revolution. The left was totally hand in hand with the Islamist but soon after the revolution, they were eliminated.

My mom saw BJP’s wins in Assam, Bengal and across state after state and asked me: ‘do you think the rise of Hindutva will affect us as Muslims in the future?’ Also the Left has vanished from India’s map. Real question from a Muslim home what do you think, India?

My sense about West Bengal, and Ms Mamata is clear. She will now fight it out in a structured and organised manner on the streets. Though many near and dear ones will desert her, but she will not stop. The govt. would be spooked and avoid harming her as much as possible. She just will go on and on about vote chori. Notice carefully: she is the only regional leader who has openly and loudly claimed "100 seats stolen" and is going hammer and tongs on it. Neither Udhav, nor Tejaswi, nor the Huddas, nor Pattnaik ever fought back. They meekly accepted the most unexpected outcomes and went into their shells depressed for a long time. Even Rahul. This is the moment to rejuvenate the INDIA alliance, if Rahul Gandhi really has the mettle, the willingness, the grand vision and the desire to be on the streets every single day till 2029. Take everyone along. Swallow bitter pills. Hug everyone. Accommodate all. Tough ask. But no other way. Acid test of leadership for all. Thanks to Modi.

27 Lakh Voters were deleted in West Bengal. These were not 'dead people' or 'bangladeshis'. These were real people who had already appealed to get their votes restored. The Supreme court could’ve delayed the West Bengal elections until the tribunals finished hearing the appeals of these voters. But they didn’t. Only around 1607 voters were restored in time by phase 2 of these elections. Almost every appeal that was heard turned out to be a wrongful deletion. In any functional democracy, this would not count as a free and fair election where a large section of voters have lost their voting rights. I'm not saying that TMC would've won for sure if they were added back, maybe BJP would still win, but the question is about the fairness of these elections. Free and fair elections are a spectrum. Ever since Delhi-Maharashtra-Bihar-Bengal, this needle has moved more and more towards being unfair. Each time somehow the opposition parties participate as usual in the electoral process thinking that they can still pull of a win despite the compromised EC, ED, CBI etc. and each time they have been proven wrong after 2024 Lok Sabha. The question is, at what point will they feel that the level of unfairness is so unfair that elections should be boycotted? I personally feel TMC should have refused to participate in these elections until all those 27 lakh appeals were finished being heard.
