Prof Hrvoje Tkalčić FAA (@HrvojeTkalcic,@ourANU) has been elected a Fellow of the Academy for his pioneering work on the internal structures of Earth and other planets. Additionally, his contributions to analysing seismic sources—including marsquakes—and refining seismogram analysis techniques have been instrumental in improving the accuracy of theoretical models. #FellowsAA

"That did it for me: I just wanted to know all about planets and space and the magic of discovering new things." He now creates open-source software to expand our understanding of geology and tectonics. Using computational physics, he is helping transform the accessibility of quantitative modelling across the Earth sciences. #FellowsAA
