@antonposa @KezzaBear24 Blore isn’t on the extended each this week? That was last week.
Ponissi said Blore would have this week off and come back through NSW Cup.

@KezzaBear24 Blore will be back next week. He's already on the extended bench. He could be a 10mim forward.

@SamirBahsa @CamMagicMan @RL_Guru Seibs did take Souths to a prelim.

NRL SUPERCOACH REVIEW - ROUND 2 ⚡️
Death by way of Melbourne Storm. Sua Faalogo and Harry Grant really stuck the knife in me this week but I think I did as good as possible without those guys, hitting almost 1300 and not getting a red arrow. Doueihi was absolutely massive for me as well as the cheap 2RFs yet again. In my round 2 team announcement post, you may have noticed I said I only used two trades this round getting in both Walsh and Turbo, that’s not entirely true. Before the Penrith vs Sharks game when we heard straight from Cleary’s mouth that Yeo wasn’t gonna be the regular 80 minute guy, I immediately flipped him to Blayke Brailey to get ahead of trades this week so I don’t need to worry about hooker.
My focus this week will be purely on getting in Faalogo and fixing up 2RF, looking at Laban and Angus out.
For those down in the rankings or annoyed they missed the storm duo’s 263 points I want to share two stories:
1. Last years winner missed Garricks 150 point game in round 3 and still walked away with the 50k at the end of the season
2. My best ever finish was in 2022 with a 192 overall rank. My Round 1 rank was 90k and my Round 2 rank was 50k, you don’t win SuperCoach in the first two weeks

@antonposa I think you’re getting desperate with the Walsh Captaincy.
No need to get that rogue so early in the season.
Melbourne in Melbourne, who was the last fullback that killed it (in SC) down there?
VC sure.

Just when you thought Dragons fans would of gotten over the result yesterday.
We’ve got a whole new episode coming up.

Now let’s talk about the psychology behind👇
⚔️ Kalyn Ponga.
The simple truth is this - when he’s fully invested, and I don’t say this lightly, he’s the best player in the game. So with that as the starting point, the question becomes: why will he be more invested now than he was last season?
First, he’s been asking for help for years, and now the club has delivered with the arrival of Dylan Brown. That alone changes the dynamic around him. No more excuses.
Secondly, it looked quite clear at times that he wasn’t enjoying playing under Adam O’Brien. That era has now ended. Despite opportunities to push his way out, he stayed, and whether fair or not, last season reflected poorly on him from a leadership perspective.
As toxic as it might sound, I think he’ll view this year as a chance to prove that last season wasn’t on him. Because after everything that happened - the scrutiny, the perception of unrest, and questions around leadership - if things don’t improve now, with O’Brien gone and Brown’s arrival, that reflects back on him as captain. That’s a powerful motivator.
They’re also coming off one of the worst attacking outputs we’ve seen in the modern game. They simply had to address it in the off-season. With a new coach in place, and Ponga as captain, you’d expect he’s had a significant say in how that attack is rebuilt and what the structure/shapes moving forward.
There’s also the Brailey situation at hooker, where at times it felt like calls were ignored and structure broke down, with the ball not consistently finding Ponga when it needed to. With him gone, that dynamic change alone could have a major impact on involvement and job satisfaction.
Lastly, if he was thinking of pushing his way out - well, his value on the NRL market (and Rugby) is currently lower than it could be. So there will be a reason to put his best foot forward.
So this selection isn’t about last year’s numbers - it’s about engagement.
If Ponga is switched on, healthy, and wants to prove a point, which I think he will, history tells us what happens next. He becomes one of the most dangerous players in SuperCoach history.
That’s the bet.
Let’s see how it plays out.

@SamirBahsa @adawesy1 @RL_Guru People have short memories. I remember 2011 pre season like yesterday... the predictions of a wooden spoon for a team that just lost their halfback Trent Hodkinson to the Bulldogs. Brett Stewart was apparently finished & our pack was apparently soft.
