@Nufpany Easy for you if you already have the connections and setup. Most young freelancers, crypto enthusiasts and forex traders don’t… we relied on p2p for fast, low cost access without begging banks for every dollar or dealing with their limits, delays and paperwork

People acting surprised about Binance and OKX delisting ETB from P2P like this came out of nowhere but the signs were there the moment the NBE regulations dropped back in late February. When you keep tightening control instead of building smart policies, global platforms will always step back. That’s not random it’s the direct result of the environment being created. And who gets hit the hardest? The young generation. The same youth trying to learn freelancing, digital skills, crypto and online business to survive in an economy with limited opportunities. P2P wasn’t just “crypto stuff” for many of us it was a bridge to receive payments, protect value and participate in the global digital economy. Now that bridge keeps getting smaller. While the world is moving forward with financial innovation, young Ethiopians like me are being pushed backwards cut off from opportunities and forced to fight twice as hard just to compete globally. Bad policy decisions at the top always land on the shoulders of the youth at the bottom. That’s the real cost. This government needs to stop treating every new financial tool like a threat. You can’t keep governing with fear, overregulation and short sighted decisions while expecting progress. Every time there’s a chance for young people to plug into the global economy it feels like the system finds a way to shut the door. That’s not leadership that’s holding a whole generation back #CryptoEthiopia #EthiopianYouth #DigitalEthiopia #BinanceETB

@SammyEth many of you are frustrated seeing ETB removed from some global platforms. This isn’t the end of anything just a wake-up call. NBE is working on this-better access to digital finance making sure young Ethiopians stay connected to global opportunities. Keep building, keep pushing!

Exactly it’s straight up bizarre and hypocritical. They hype AI at ministry level greenlight big Bitcoin mining operations but crush p2p and fx trading that actually helps regular youth earn and connect globally. Same crypto space different rules one for the big players none for the rest of us. February NBE rules weren’t protection they were control. This govt talks digital future while slamming doors on the tools young Ethiopians need right now. Pure shortsighted fear not leadership. Enough of the double standards

@SammyEth @BereketSisay9 My thoughts in all the crypto assets and everything: how come a govt claiming to work on Ai in a ministry level and allow bitcoin miners have an industry level mining station suppress the rights of p2p and other FX trading? Simply bizarre!

Nahh not a calculated “hustler mode” conspiracy just pure short sighted fear and bad governance. They hate independent FX flows bypassing their controls so NBE drops those February rules and platforms pull out. Result? Youth freelancers and small players lose the real bridge to global payments while the system stays rigged for the connected few

@SammyEth @stripe And through that anybody can create an LLC in US and get a bank account and do their work through that and then they can send their USD to a FCY bank account to save in dollars.

Yeah the P2P market had problems no argument there. Prices were inflated and some people abused the system. But banning or pushing platforms out doesn’t fix the root problem, it just pushes the activity deeper underground where there’s even less transparency and less accountability

@SammyEth True. But the p2p market was messed up. The prices were absurdly high, everybody got greedy and this all seemed like money laundering scheme. So I think to fight back they started banning platforms. But still if anyone has 500 USD they can sign up for @stripe ATLAS.
