This is wonderful signal that it’s possible we could see this disease become a relic of the past in my lifetime. HPV vaccines are authorized up to 45* in Canada. Being born in ‘87 I missed the rollout by a few years so got mine in my 30s & it was covered by my drug plan.

Why do some cities just feel more interesting? It's not only because of architecture — it's also details like benches, bus stops, signs, and lighting. So here's a brief introduction to "street furniture", one of the most underrated parts of urban design...

How do we tell the map apps that municipalities, fire districts, school district/civic addressing communities etc are far more relevant when it comes to helping users in PEI locate a place or share locations with another person?

Can anyone shed light on the ‘parishes’ that are used to describe PEI geography in some of the mapping apps?

@hannahbethbell @srbulman Fair enough, but Bedford Parish is not a place name I readily relate to in PEI, for example, nor is Hillsborough Parish. These are the sorts of directions I get from various map apps.

@srbulman @SammyJMurphy Civil parishes are a form of municipal government with a parish council (still in action in UK) while ecclesiastical parishes are associated w churches and usually describe catchment areas for the church (and associated revenue).

The comfortably housed sometimes need to be reminded that they’re still comfortably housed when new housing is being built for others to become comfortably housed.

@MacADNski It was, and I had a rehearsal to get back to! Worth it though.

I have this image in my mind of the western end of PEI tipping into the sea from the weight of all the Islanders heading that way to view the eclipse…

@RobLantz Unfortunately, a provincial land use plan that involves public engagement is still at best 3-4 years out, plus time to develop any implementing regulations, followed by the time to develop new local plans. If a municipality wanted to develop a new plan in the interim, could they?
