I’m so proud of our @UHS_GirlsBball team. Every coach and player on the team contributed to this season. In a game no one gave us a chance, we battled to within 1 point in OT. Such a blessing to get to take part in a game like that and many life lessons learned all season.

Why do you believe we are seeing such a steep decline in girls high school basketball participation? Non-refutable data from the NFHS says that participation has dropped 21% over the last 25 years. But why? What is your take on the why when the highest levels of the sport have never been more popular.

There is a deeper layer to the parable of the Prodigal Son that a lot of people don't know. Jesus told the parable like this for a very specific reason and the Pharisees were too blind to see it. What a masterclass this is from our Lord Christ Jesus.

I admire atheists a lot for their level of FAITH. If you really think about it, watch this video, & are honest with yourself being an atheist requires a million times more FAITH than believing in God. The smartest guy I ever met in real life, I played poker against, & he was the lead engineer on the mission to land a rover on Mars. He said he was an ATHEIST, but since studying the universe he came to the LOGICAL CONCLUSION there must be an intelligent designer. He told me MOST of his colleagues were the same - the deeper they went, the more likely they were to say without God the odds of everything we see working in order is 0.00%. Impossible. The deeper you dive into how complex & vast the universe is, the MORE FAITH it takes to believe it all came from nothing & is random. Most atheists just want to be atheists because if there is no God, they can be their own god. "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Eugene Edgerson posted this public message on Facebook about his son's Senior Day at Salpointe. Wouldn't expect anything different from Gene. This kind of character goes back to the days I called him over the phone about his recruitment by Arizona when he attended St. Augustine High School in New Orleans. You could tell then he was raised right. This comment by Gene should be shared to every single parent who has a young athlete as a son or daughter: "It’s senior night and Jazi didn’t get to play. I never once walked up to my son’s high school basketball coach about playing time. Not once. See, that wasn’t my lane. My job was to raise a young man. Coach’s job was to run a team. If my son wanted more minutes, I told him what was told to me: ‘Work so hard they can’t sit you.’ I wasn’t about to teach him that when life feels unfair, you go over somebody’s head. Nah. Life don’t work like that. The world ain’t handing out minutes — you earn them. I sat in them bleachers quiet. Clapped when he did well. Drove him home when he didn’t play. USC is/was the best win for: Oregon Notre Dame Illinois … but is NOT the best win for TCU, a middle-of-the conference Big12 team (tied for 7th with 3 other teams) who, despite missing their elite QB Josh Hoover, beat the Trojans (B1G’s 4th best team) yesterday TCU’s best win is their road victory over a ranked Houston team (that beat LSU in their bowl game) that finished 10-3 This is the same TCU team that BYU smoked 44-13 with Josh Hoover playing Big 12 and BYU continue to be criminally underrated & disrespected (USC did have more opt outs than TCU, but their all-everything QB Jayden Maiava DID play and had a mediocre showing vs TCU’s D, throwing 2 INTs)
