The way Baba Ijesha is being celebrated right now is part of the reason nothing ever changes. A man was convicted of molesting a 14-year-old girl, yet people are celebrating him today. A successful woman went ahead and had a baby with him, and instead of facing public criticism, they're being showered with praise. We're no longer just normalizing these things we're rewarding them. And somewhere, another man is watching and taking notes.

People talking about him cheating on his wife will forever be funny to me because I will never understand the foolishness behind a woman thinking a billionaire should only be knacking her for the rest of his life. I won't have 10% of Femi Otedola net worth and be knacking only one woman for the rest of my life. And I won't even need to hide it from you. You either accept polygamy or you to a be with a monogamy man. I didn't hustle all my life to eat the same soup for the rest of my life when I can afford to buy other soup. Don't hate the player. Hate the game! The game might be brutal but it's still fair.

I was humiliated today. On my way back from work, I stopped at a nearby store to grab a few things. The moment I pointed at the drink I wanted, the seller looked me up and down and said, "All these fresh yahoo boys na this drink them dey like." I told her I'm not a Yahoo boy. She laughed and said, "E no get who no dey do yahoo." I tried to explain that not every young man doing well for himself is a fraudster. She cut me off. "Why you dey fear? Police no dey here." I stood there. Speechless. The stereotype that started with Americans painting every Nigerian as a scammer has now entered our own neighborhoods. This is how normalized yahoo has become in our society. And I'm pissed that someone tagged me with a label I do not belong to. Above all, love God.

My neighbour offered me sex instead of the ₦35,000 she has been owing me. It's been six months since she borrowed the money. She said she needed it to complete her daughter's school fees. She has a daughter, and they have been living alone for the past year. This morning, I met her outside and politely asked when she would be able to pay me back. She smiled and said things had been very difficult. I told her I understood, but I also needed my money. She looked around, moved closer to me, pointed at her bum bum, and said, "Oga, let's go inside na." At first, I thought she was joking. When I realized she was serious, I told her that I needed my ₦35,000 and wouldn't exchange it for anything else. She sighed, shook her head, and said, "Oga, are you sure you're a man?"

One would think Nigerians are the worst until you meet people from other countries… Three of us went out as colleagues. You wanted to quickly enter a store and asked if I needed anything. I said banana 🍌 The rest of us stayed in the car waiting for you. A few minutes later, you came back with my banana and before I could even ask, you said: “It’s 74p.” I asked for your account number so I could transfer it. You said no. You wanted cash Me: “Oga, I don’t have cash. What do we do now?” You said you wanted cash. I said okay, take your banana then because I don’t have cash. You said no again At this point, my other colleague got irritated and gave you a £1 coin. Now I’m asking you for my 26p balance and suddenly I’m the petty one??? You that almost started World War 3 over 74p is not petty abi? Madam, you better behave yourself and give me my 26 pence now now

@9ja_Ballers He's useless. He suffers his teammates with unnecessary take ons. One of the major reasons we lost to DRC and dat nonsense goalkeeper shooting goal kicks to the opponent and throw ins. Making Our defense suffer especially Frederick. Chelle will never call him to camp

Fatima Shekau, the daughter of the late Boko Haram leader, Abu Shekau, claims she struggles to find a husband. She says since 2024, many men are unwilling to consider a relationship with her because of her father's notorious past. Kings, the family you want to marry matters a lot. Never be deceived by a woman's innocent look, vet her brutally before giving your commitment. If she's chaotic and masculine and not ready to be under your subjection, pipe and swipe. Do not keep a woman other men are running away from. "Had I known" is the last comment of a f00l.

They brought a m@dman to the hospital yesterday. The man was shouting, "Ada! Ada! Ada!" I kept wondering who Ada was. He was admitted to the psychiatric ward. Later, I went with Nurse Koko to see the young man, and I met him talking to himself. "If I see Ada... If I catch her... What I will do to her! Ada... So Ada can do this to me?" I told Nurse Koko, "The way this man is talking, I don't think he's really m@d like that o. He talks like someone who knows exactly what he's saying." Nurse Koko looked at me. "I am suspecting the same thing too. But you know sometimes people who are m@d usually start small small. Small small like this, the madness will start until it enters the brain." "His own may have come from anger or heartbreak. Maybe Ada broke his heart." She sighed. I was curious, so I went to the man and asked, "Who is Ada?" The man looked at me. "Ada... Ada... O Ada!" The brother who had accompanied him to the ward answered. "He is my brother. He committed mU.rder together with a lady called Ada. They k!lled someone in their compound. No one knows who the lady is. Only him does. But he has been calling her name. We were told Ada is the girl who ran away." I looked at the man again. "Brother, can you remember Ada?" He looked at me. "Yes." "So who is she?" "You are Ada... You are Ada." I quickly dragged Nurse Koko and went back to the reception before the m@dman put me in trouble. Me that have been in my house since this week. Haa! Lord have mercy! I considered playing for Sweden at a point in my career and I think a lot needs to be done if we want to have many Nigerian players playing for another country to choose Nigeria. Nigeria's lost talents: The Talents That could be our National pride. There are so many Nigerian players in this year World Cup and it has made a lot of us wonder what if they all played for Nigeria. The super eagles missing out in this year World Cup is a huge setback for the Nigerian football and as a nation. The list shows sixteen footballers of Nigerian descent, The problem is that none of them actually plays for Nigeria. Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze are England regulars. Jamal Musiala is one of Germany's brightest. Folarin Balogun chose the United States. Sixteen players. Sixteen different flags. Zero Super Eagles caps between them. You do not need much context to feel the weight of that. This is not really a football story. It is an institutional one. These players did not defect. They were not poached. In most cases, Nigeria simply failed to make itself a convincing option. Poor communication, administrative chaos, and a federation that has historically treated dual-national players as an afterthought rather than a priority. Some got direct snubs. Others never got a call at all. The timing adds another layer. Nigeria has missed the last two World Cups. The 2018 tournament in Russia was the last time the Super Eagles qualified. What was once a conversation about talent pipelines and identity has become something more uncomfortable: an audit of failure. I want to make it clear that Nigerian talent producing players across three continents is not something to mourn. That is a remarkable thing. But producing talent and benefiting from it are two different things, and right now Nigeria is doing one without the other. Until the federation changes how it identifies, engages, and values diaspora players, this conversation will keep repeating itself. The graphic will just get longer.
