All the advantages, none of the delivery and 10 bottom-half finishes in a row. Hear me out: Stoke City might be the most depressing football club in England ⬇️ inews.co.uk/sport/football…

@BBCNews Communist Britain treats the Landlord like some oligarch, sat up on their hill, master of all they survey, counting their wealth.

@SeannachaidhS @DarrenNock62786 @EoinJMartainn Correct. It was brought about by the Scottish Parliament and aristocracy, who actively pushed for a union. Scotland tried to set up its own colonial empire, in Panama, failed, bankrupted themselves in the process, so sought to join with and benefit from English imperialism.

Three nations 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Same lock. Same colonial capture. Same constitutional keys withheld. Wales is the longest continuously colonially occupied nation on earth. 742 years. No liberation. No consent. Ancient sovereignty of Cymry suppressed but never legitimately extinguished. Ireland would've claimed that horrendous record, but they forced the lock partially open in 1922, pushing the colonialist occupiers out and have steadily fought onwards towards 32 state reunification ever since with their Fénechus intact. Scotland, after 319 years of English colonial occupation, with the power of its sovereign people is the constitutional quay. When that quay turns, and the lock releases, the flood won't stop at borders, it won't stop at palaces, castles or corporate headquarters. It will only recede when England's continued Empire is no more. Liberation in one lock changes the pressure in them all. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 #IndyWales #UnitedIreland #IndyScotland #SovereigntySeries #EmpireLedger x.com/EoinJMartainn/…

> when you're trying to be a based trad Anglo-Saxon defending your pure bloodline and ancient customs from Norman degeneracy but your shield wall collapsed at Hastings, and 300 years later your descendants are marching around France with Welsh longbows yelling about how they're the rightful kings because Edward III's mom was kinda French and Salic law is stupid anyway

You are an Anglo-Saxon. Act like it.

i met an australian girl who lives in london at my work conference today and she was gushing about how much she loves watching american girls on tiktok because she loves all the american stuff they do (iced coffee, trader joe’s, homegoods) and wishes she could live in the US and do that 😂 and she asked if i could mail her a trader joe’s tote bag because they’re a fashion statement in the UK 😂

people born in america probably don’t realize how cool america used to be. how many random people around the world built their identity around american signifiers. the death of US soft power is going to have long term consequences we're only beginning to see

Its crazy how America has gone from a country I found annoying and arrogant, to one that I would genuinely die fighting against. This is now 19th century imperial power. We must resist it, at the end of the barrel of a gun.

@bbalkus @antoguerrera This is why you need to not use ChatGPT for this kind of stuff. These statistics are not like for like. The London statistic is for all non-fatal assaults. This includes everything from pick pocketing to being mugged. The US statistics only count crimes that involve a weapon.

@antoguerrera That simply isn’t true. The chances that you will be robbed are much higher in London.

I love the US, part of my family lives in America and I adore spending two months a year there but it’s just ridiculous to hear from a few Americans that London is dangerous and not safe. Every big US city is way more dangerous than London. Every single one. When Americans visit the UK and Europe, they’re afraid of staying downtown overnight because of their experience in the US. So get a grip, folks. And comment only if you have had real experience. Thank you. 🥰 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

Big fan of public squares but this looks so shit. Every design for public spaces seems to follow this pattern and it just leads to grey, soulless spaces that turn actively depressing after some rain and a smattering of litter.
YIMBY Alliance@yimbyalliance

NEW: 🚨City of London to create a large new public square. The City have confirmed that they will close the southern section of King Edward Street to create a 3,500sqm public space. This will make Greyfriars square next to St Paul’s Cathedral the City’s biggest open space.

@jungleveeeyepee @ox_anna29 The first point is a historical fact and the second is supported by surveys on voter opinions in Scotland. You can't just base your whole assessment on vibes.
