@TheSeriesFeed @CultureCrave Nice try troll. Phantom menace is one of the worst. It's still fun to watch but it's probably the worst of the original 6.

@KushalAlapati @HollywoodHandle I mean, it's been a hot minute for sure, but Migration was released in the last week of '23, so it's been barely 2 years (and in that time they've released DM 4, and SM2 drops in a week, so it's not like they have been MIA...)

@HollywoodHandle Goat, Hoppers, Forgotten Island, Hexed. And yet Illumination’s last original movie was like 4 years ago. It’s Migration by the way.

@burdturds @HunterMarch Tax Return is the document you fill out. Tax Refund is the money you get back (if you get any back). I said 'File Taxes' (obviously also marked incorrect), because I was answering about the process instead of the money

@EvanGibbs816 @remotecocoa @Variety Honestly I don't know why this isn't talked about more. Everyone keeps saying how Netflix hates theaters and physical media.. but truth is they love money. Buying a company that already has that infrastructure is an easy decision to keep it going. They won't say no to money

@remotecocoa @Variety You ever think that the reason they don’t release films in theaters is because they don’t have a set up for theatrical distribution? Which they would’ve gotten with this deal.

David Ellison says a merged Paramount-Warner Bros. would release over 30 films in cinemas a year, but history tells a different story. • After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, annual output dropped from 14 films in 2017 and 2018 to just three in 2023, four in 2024 and six in 2025. • In 2025, Warner Bros. released 11 films. Paramount released nine. • Exhibitors predict a similar decline if Paramount’s bid for Warner Bros. passes regulatory approval. “It’s a case of pick your poison,” says an exhibition consultant. “The extended battle over which terrible deal would happen will result in fewer major studio releases.” wp.me/pc8uak-1lGXtz

@Mossad_agent_67 @TheCinesthetic Not the villain pulling it, but the 'hero' (Robert Downey Jr) does it as a bluff and fails in 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang'. (Search for the scene with "Who Taught You Math?". If you've never seen the movie, it's def worth the watch)

@apexdigihold @glennbeck Just look at firearms (another right). There is no Federal Law that mandates someone to pay anything to own a gun in their home. Yes, in many places there can be permits, taxes, checks, etc., but no universal 'YOU MUST PAY' required to access that right.

@apexdigihold @glennbeck Second, none of the the things you listed (board a plane, rent a hotel room, etc) are considered rights provided to citizens (and in fact, ALL of them require payment since they are all privileges, not rights). This is a tired and entirely useless comparison. They are not equal

By passing this one act, the GOP will save the republic AND rescue the GOP. If they fail, we all fail. 80% off all Americans want this - you need ID for everything except voting. There is only one reason not to pass this and we all know what it is. GOP save the republic, save the Republican Party from itself. PASS THE SAVE ACT.

@AhmdMhmd70750 @Jericho4231 @Variety With all their price hikes they've nearly reached the amount they can squeeze from subscribers (although they'll try for more, I'm sure). Growing their library 10x doesn't lead to 10x subscription fees It is wasted money to buy all that content, and then cut their revenue source

@AhmdMhmd70750 @Jericho4231 @Variety They are against investing significant resources into legacy methods that don't reinforce their content. Why spend billions to make millions? As long as IP from WB/HBO generates money, they will absolutely release in theaters and on Blu-Ray. They would be negligent not to. (7)

Most WBD staffers now favor Netflix acquiring Warner Bros. studios and HBO Max rather than being fully subsumed by David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance, sources tell Variety. • WB film staffers who once feared Ted Sarandos would gut theatrical now believe Netflix plans to keep the studio largely intact. • A key turning point came Dec. 17 (two weeks after Netflix announced its deal with WBD) when Sarandos and Greg Peters addressed employees’ concerns at a Warner Bros. town hall on the studio lot. • David Ellison’s cozy relationship with the Trump administration (and CBS News’ rightward shift under Bari Weiss) have given WBD staffers pause. wp.me/pc8uak-1lGVJ8
