Since Targaryens are completely fireproof, why did Aegon look like a melted candle after Rook's Rest? Like, if they are immune to dragon fire, why didn't his skin just handle it normally? Did the showrunners just forget how Targaryen biology works or am I missing something? #HOTD #Houseofthedragon

The “Nobody” story during Odysseus’ battle with the cyclops is one of the most memorable parts of the #Odyssey text. It’s like right beneath the Trojan War as far as stories that convey a) Odysseus’ cunning strategy rather than brute force and b) his hubris & ego when he has to take credit for his master plan. And Christopher Nolan just said, “nahhhh. Ain’t doing it that way. We’ll do it like this.” Had the balls to overhaul one of the most memorable scenes from the GOAT story but alters it in a way that still captures more or less the same plot and character development. The confidence you need to have in your abilities to trust yourself and make that call is incomprehensible. but wasn’t the Cyclops actually violating Zeus’ laws of hospitality? if strangers could potentially be gods in disguise, shouldn’t he have welcomed and fed them instead of eating them? in that sense,could you argue that Odysseus and his men were justified after all?
