Maybe because I had the foresight to buy 4 tickets at the start of March when I had a feeling it might be a momentous day for the club I’ve supported for 55 years. As for Arteta, he proved me and a lot of people wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Why was Piers Morgan & his clan on the pitch at Selhurst? Nowt worse than celebrity fans muscling in on things. Especially one who called for Arteta’s head on several occasions in the early years. #Arsenal #COYG

Got called fat by an employee at @PopeyesUK yesterday. They forgot my fries and when I went back this guy was like, “you’ve had the fries haha” and pointed to my stomach. Wtf. Even the manager laughed.

Healthy-looking Alan Brazil gives emotional update: “I was nearly gone… it’s a miracle.” The 66-year-old talkSPORT legend looked noticeably slimmer and far healthier as he posted a video update from Suffolk, thanking fans for their support after life-saving NHS surgery. Brazil told listeners: “I was nearly gone, I don’t mind telling you. But listen, it’s a miracle what’s happened. NHS, brilliant. I can’t thank the people at Cambridge enough they’ve saved my life.” He confirmed he is “beginning to improve rapidly” and hopes to return to the talkSPORT Breakfast show in “a matter of weeks.” The former Manchester United and Scotland striker has been off air for months after serious health issues. He previously had heart surgery five years ago. Great to see the legend on the mend

@GreggAWallace Hi Greg, love your stuff. I was wondering if you can be booked for Stag dos? It would involve the normal stuff like you being hand cuffed to the groom etc. All banter and whatever happens on the stag do stays on the stag do if you know what I mean 😉 Let me know if interested.

I'm a supporter of "those up the road". For the purpose of balance I want to reiterate what I posted last week. I think you have a VERY realistic chance of winning the Europa Cup next year !. I don't want you to win it but I'd be VERY Surprised if you didn't make the final #safc

🧤 The Ramsdale Dilemma: Trigger the Clause or Walk Away? 🤔 The loan deal is officially in the books. After investing a £4m loan fee to bring the England international to Tyneside, Newcastle United now faces a £20m decision. Triggering his permanent buyout clause isn't a question of talent, well for Eddie Howe it isn't—it’s a matter of cold, hard finance. Eddie Howe’s admiration for Aaron Ramsdale is well-documented, having now managed the shot-stopper at both Bournemouth and Newcastle. Even though Ramsdale finished the season on the bench following Nick Pope’s return, Eddie was quick to praise his keeper's immense locker-room influence: "I've really enjoyed working with Aaron again. I think he's an unbelievable lad. Every time that I've worked with him, I've always had a great feeling about his personality and what he brings to the group—very, very positive guy. He's actually become part of the squad so quickly... very good off the pitch, very good in supporting the goalkeeper who's playing. I think we've seen a big improvement from the moment that he came." While Eddie Howe is eager to keep Ramsdale in the squad, Newcastle doesn't hold all the cards. Parent club Southampton is currently licking its wounds after a devastating exit from the Championship play-offs, missing out on the £200m Premier League promotion jackpot. According to The Chronicle, the Saints are now desperate for a cash injection. This leaves Newcastle with two distinct options: Bite the bullet and pay the agreed £20m upfront or exploit Southampton's financial vulnerability to negotiate a significantly lower fee. With reports suggesting up to three Magpies goalkeepers could depart St James' Park this summer, squad depth behind Nick Pope is about to look incredibly thin. However, the ultimate question remains: Is £20m simply too expensive for a player destined to start next season as a backup? Eddie Howe kept his cards close to his chest when summarising the situation: "Let's see what happens in the next stage of his career. We're not in control of what happens with his future; that'll be Southampton's choice." What’s your take? Should we splash the £20m to secure Ramsdale permanently, or should that transfer budget be prioritised elsewhere? 🤔 #NUFC #NewcastleUnited #TransferNews #EPL #Magpies #Southampton

A very frustrating season, and without a doubt we are all very disappointed. You fans definitely did not deserve this. But football doesn’t always go the way we plan. Individually, I managed to have the season with the most goal contributions in my career, and I would trade all of that for a better position in the table. Honestly, I just want to thank the fans for everything. Thank you @nufc 3️⃣9️⃣🖤🤍
