Last week, I sent a letter to Justin Trudeau and Pierre Poilievre – letting them know that the NDP will force a vote in Parliament to stop grocery greed. Today, debate on our motion began – with the vote taking place in the next two weeks. Canadians need leadership that stands between them and the unregulated greed of the grocery cartel. My message for Pierre Poilievre and Justin Trudeau: It’s time to make Big Grocery Giants pay what they owe and put the money back in people’s pockets. I promise, we’re not going to back down.

@JustinTrudeau There should be a huge huge tax on non primary resident properties to discourage people holding multiple properties. There are people in society who are holding 30-40 houses. They are not selling it and releasing in the market. These people are big contributor to this mess.

Houses shouldn’t sit empty when so many Canadians are trying to buy a home. So, we’re going to ban foreign ownership in Canada for the next two years, and tax the existing vacant, foreign-owned properties.
