Today is a sad day for me. Tomorrow is my birthday, and I'm not looking forward to it—not because of aging. This is a pic of me and my brother. He passed away last year from pancreatic cancer. We are Irish twins, so a birthday feels like I’m leaving him behind. God, I miss him. He loved life. He was my first best friend and protector. When I was afraid at night as a kid, he let me sneak into his bed without complaining. We had a great childhood and stayed close, watching each other’s families grow. He was there for me when our dad passed, even though he was in pain too. Then the cancer. Pancreatitis cancer stage 4. Terminal in your mid-50s, unbelievable and cruel. It makes no sense. Never will. So you see, I don’t want another birthday and feel like I’m leaving him behind. I love and miss you Craig

One team, One fight.... This is a term I used in the military. It meant many things but the most important meaning was putting aside differences and focusing on the mission. In the military this was crucial, if it didn't happen the consequences were catastrophic. So it is very near and dear to my heart. I thought it could be used here, then I thought maybe I was wrong. The arguing and fighting here lately has gotten out of control. I will not take part in any of it. I'm done with it. I will be focusing on the mission. What mission is that?? Saving this country by staying informed, informing others, laughing and having fun along the way. Stay focused people! One team, One fight!

I am struggling to find the right words. I woke up this morning thinking it would be another busy but normal day. Our six-month-old baby, Charlotte, had an appointment with an eye doctor to find out why her eyes were crossed. We scheduled this appointment two months ago and didn’t expect anything serious. I went to the appointment with all three of my daughters. After examining Charlotte’s eyes, the doctor noticed something unusual and sent us to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City for an eye ultrasound to check more closely. I drove the half hour to the hospital, and Stuart left work early to meet me there. He arrived just as the ultrasound was happening. I held Charlotte close while facing away from the screen so the doctor could get clear images. Stuart was looking at the screen and suddenly said, “Whoa, that’s big.” In that moment, my heart sank. The doctors found a cancerous tumor behind her left eye and partly in her right eye. It is called retinoblastoma, and it is the reason her eyes will not straighten. I didn’t know how to react. So many thoughts, fears, and emotions rushed through me all at once. I am still trying to understand it. I am still in shock and unsure how to think or what to do. The doctors told us Charlotte needs an MRI to confirm the diagnosis and to see how much the cancer has spread, if it has spread at all. They talked about treatment options, including chemotherapy and surgery. They also explained that the specialist team for this condition is in Phoenix, and we need to get there as soon as possible to start treatment. Right now, everything feels overwhelming. I don’t yet understand what the future looks like for Charlotte, for Stuart, for our family, or for myself. But I do know the most important thing I can ask from anyone reading this is to please pray for us. Please send a sincere prayer to our Father in Heaven and ask Him to make everything okay, whatever that may look like. I believe prayer is real, prayer is powerful, and prayer will help carry our family through this. Please pray for baby Charlotte.

My mom had Parkinson's but fell and broke her hip in May last year, she survived surgery and rehab but just couldn't quite recover back to her normal self after she returned home last July. She deteriorated rapidly and by late October I had to call hospice. I did home hospice for only 4 days before she passed. Hardest thing I ever had to do was take care of my mom and see her like that. It will haunt me forever I am just now finding the strength to go through paperwork and just noticed her death certificate listed her cause of death as senile degeneration of the brain. I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting that. Not sure what I expected really but she was never senile I don't think I'm ready to go through stuff like I thought I was 🫤

A group of us got drunk on the school bus at an away game when I was 14. We got caught, of course. The two-block walk of shame home to face my mom took me two hours. I learned young to follow the rules, js 🤷‍♀️
