I once shared this with a mutual on X that South Africa must stop being nonchalant about elections in other African countries. It needs to become an active observer and boldly call out any electoral malpractice. The country should also speak out against bad leadership across the continent, because ultimately it bears the consequences of those malpractices and poor governance. This isn’t about meddling , it’s about being genuine partners in progress. This is the easiest way to solve the immigration crisis.
