@echobay56 @FoxNews Agreed with you 90%, but imo nothing wrong with talking about slavery, it's apart of America's history. It's when it's done to denigrate, it becomes an issue. Or apart of race baiting. Reparations no, but something shold be done to help historically poor towns&schools all races

The longer we keep beating race to death, the longer it's going to be an issue. People tend to hang with like folks. Nothing wrong with that. We all do it. We also hang with each other. A lot. And we don't need to be forced. We just do it. Continued talk about reparations and slavery perpetuates division. To the delite of many groups, and individuals.

"If America is so racist, why are people dying to come here, but no one is dying to leave?" Civil rights pioneer Clarence Henderson calls out the anti-American "agenda" that risks tearing the U.S. apart from within. His message to Americans: "Stop perishing together as fools and start living the life that America affords us."

Yesterday I celebrated 19-years service to the people of Jamaica as a proud member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. During this time I’ve served numerous divisions/sections and have done so with unquestionable integrity. Cheers to another year!

@SandyyMay Yes, that’s one of the bigger issues from the report. Makes you wonder what the heck has been happening there and then how do we decisively eradicate those systemic issues.

Dennis Gordon of JACDEN should recuse himself from the Public Accounts Committee due to the Auditor General’s findings regarding the misuse of tax exemptions at the UHWI. If he does not do so voluntarily, he should be removed to eliminate any perception of conflict of interest. Otherwise, it will be difficult for the public to take the PAC proceedings seriously. While the UHWI is rightly liable to repay all misused funds — which deprived the State of much-needed resources — the private companies involved should not only repay the funds but also face appropriate fines or penalties. Looking forward to the outcome of the investigations of the relevant bodies. Further, what of the management at the time? How do we hold them accountable? The issue is clearly systemic. One asks: how many other contracts for how many other companies benefitted from this setup of diverting funds from the public coffers?

Young Jamaica is calling for the resignation of MP Dennis Gordon and Opposition Spokesman on Finance Julian Robinson, after JACDEN was named in an Auditor General’s report for benefiting from the University Hospital of the West Indies’ tax-exempt status. jamaicaobserver.com/2026/04/02/you…

Dear @JamaicaConstab I know you are stretched. We've heard mention in the PAC meeting of police investigations. Sometimes you give the public updates on matters. The UHWI situation begs for one. As a taxpayer it is my hope that your investigations result in arrests and charges.

#UHWIscandal 🔘 Who approved the use of the UHWI's tax-exempt status to import goods for private entities? Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry Errol Greene says a signature purported to be that of a former UHWI CEO appears on one of the approval documents. That CEO separated from the UHWI more than two years before the date of the "approval". Another approval document bears what appears to be the signature of the current CEO who is now on leave. The acting CEO, Eric Hosin, says in both instances, Jacden was the benefiting company.

@yaneekpage The hate against women is real, even in others countries. Just listen to Bros Podcast online I believe the more independent women become, "most" men feel it's at their expense. Will only get worst imo

I have personally experienced several Jamaican men on this app unleash tyranny on me because they didn’t agree with my POV. Not just ridicule & defamation. I mean literal dehumanization. And these are not likkle boys - these men are politicos, former police, lawyers, serving close protection police officers, entrepreneurs, etc. Folks who should be leading by example & restraint.

At some point, we must concede that the normalized hatefulness & vile attacks on women are completely disproportionate to any perceived offense. In fact I would go further - what we are now witnessing is the digital grooming of our society to accept harassment & “choosing violence every time” as valid responses to a woman’s opinion. This foaming-at-the-mouth vitriol is pre-meditated social violence, in my experience. It’s also a very slippery gateway to physical harm.

U start back with the revisionist history again? Not to mention that between 1958 to 1962 the stage was set by the then PNP government and u didnt even want the former Premier to sit in thr royal box at stadium kmt move ya man... bout steady growth
Andrew Holness@AndrewHolnessJM

History teaches us important lessons. From 1962–1972, Jamaica saw stability and strong growth. But the shift in the 1970s under Michael Manley changed our direction and brought serious challenges that still affect us today. Today, as the world changes again, Jamaica must stay focused, practical, and always act in our best interest. We will choose what works, not what sounds good.

@DamienWKing This line being pushed in Ja that a young person just leaving university not even working 5 years, is some how entitled to be owning a house & car is just unrealistic. Life don't work like that. It's in your 30s its realistic. Now gov helping to push that anxiety IMO

So people who have worked harder and longer, and managed finally to qualify to get a piece of the rock, are now going to denied in favour of someone who is less qualified and has more time to reach that goal. How is that fair? Age discrimination. Unjust, unnecessary initiative.
Floyd Green@floydgreenja

PM just announced that starting July 1 20% of NHT Schemes will be reserved for persons under 35 and an advance of 2 million will be provided for qualified applicants towards deposit and fees. .. excellent initiative.
