@IOM_India signs MOU with @FollowCII which will facilitate the mobility of Indian skilled professionals to several overseas destinations. IOM will leverage its mandate on safe, orderly & regular migration, CII will offer its initiatives around skilling.

IOM hosted UP ‘State Engagement on Migration’ & ‘Inauguration of Migrant Resource Centre (MRC)’ with CSC, in Lucknow. Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Brajesh Pathak; Labour Minister Mr Anil Rajbhar and Minister of State-Higher Education, Mrs Rajni Tiwari graced the occasion.

MOU signed between IOM-UN Migration and JNU on August 17, 2022 for collaboration around migration and diaspora research. While IOM will bring in the institutional insights from more than 70 years of presence, JNU will offer expertise in migration and diaspora research.

Compared to men, women send a higher proportion of their salary as remittances - but they mostly spend these on basic household needs. As a result, women are often left with less money for longer-term investments such as small businesses.

I was privileged to speak at the EU & MEA hosted seminar on ‘Indian Women’s Migration to the European Union’. Thank you Government of India for your commitment towards ensuring safe, orderly and regular migration.

We will be able to provide millions of migrants and displaced people with much needed improved access to critical assistance, thanks to our Member States’ support and endorsement today of our budget reform efforts.
