@zackbeauchamp Nope. This was the OJ trial. Over before it started. End result was a forgone conclusion. The country was never gonna elect a woman. Especially a woman of color.
By all accounts, Harris' ground game outclassed Trump's by miles. She had professional staff, while Trump had a haphazard set-up outsourced to Elon Musk and Charlie Kirk.
Is it possible that ground games are giant scams?
The overall story, so far: Nothing here looks like a story of various campaign decisions or a VP choice or big set piece speeches. It's an electorate mad at the incumbent WH's record and expressing it pretty uniformly everywhere, blue and red states alike.
@AMGardner96@lxeagle17 I know, reading is hard. I didn’t specify anyone in particular. I said ANY qualified woman. General terms. Heck, HRC was more qualified than any candidate male or female as far back as I can remember
Harris is on track to underperform Biden by 5 points in Minnesota, despite picking Tim Walz as her VP. If there's a home state VP effect, we're just not seeing it — that's basically exactly her national underperformance on Biden and is, in fact, worse than the rest of the Midwest
If Trump wins, there will be efforts to blame Russian interference or the Harris campaign or Biden, etc. That's all fair. But we need to be clear eyed that a huge swath of America likes what Trump is selling. Transphobia. Mass deportation. That's what he ran on. And here we are.
A ham sandwich should have beaten this cretin that is a rapist, racist and felon.
Racism and misogyny is why this is tight.
Trump is a shit business man and human.
These people voting for him see their brother, uncle, dad and grandpa.. unapologetically making excuses at every turn cuz calling him bad would mean they would have to reflect on their morality or lack thereof.
Looks like I overestimated the American people.
This election isn’t over, but this should have been the biggest electoral landslide in history.
It’s like people are actively voting for America to fail.
Big picture: Given the counties reporting so far in WI, MI, PA, and AZ...and the counties (mostly urban areas/suburbs) lagging/still to report, Harris is in good shape to win those four swing states and finish with 281 EV. Losing GA + NC would be irrelevant. #election2024
