The corruption in Nigeria’s power sector is so vast, so deeply entrenched, that it will take a sledgehammer, not a feather duster, to smash the monumental heist that has kept our people in darkness for decades. I saw this as far back as 2018, before this @OfficialAPCNg operative admitted public in this podcast. Hear it here. The solution remains the same:, dismantle the cartel, democratize electricity, and deliver power to the people. #Sowore2027

The state actually knows those genuine and radical protesters who have no interest in meeting with any government officials, they simply want the government to do the right thing. If it were any of our comrades, members, or people we mobilized carrying weapons openly like this in a protest,I can tell you that the state would have arrested and abducted everyone involved including the organizers because they know what such actions could eventually lead to. But with this kind of protest and the personalities involved, it means nothing to the state in fact, they embrace it. By now, some of us would have been detained and sent to jail. If we had been caught arming ourselves with machetes, diggers, or any other weapons whenever we were attacked during protests, the consequences would have been severe. You will never see any of us carrying machetes or weapons at any protest. Whenever we are attacked, we would rather use our numbers to push back than resort to weapons. Las las, ideology is key.

Oseni Rufai didn't talk over Peter Obi or even raise his voice during his recent interview; As a matter of fact, he didn't bother to ask serious follow-up questions even when Obi wasn't being direct. But if it's a member from any opposition party, he will turn aggressive with his speech.

African Action Congress
AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS RELEASE 16th June, 2026 TINUBU'S LATEST ASSAULT ON DEMOCRACY MUST BE RESISTED - AAC STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH AFFECTED POLITICAL PARTIES The African Action Congress (AAC) condemns the Judicial rascality and political assault on multiparty democracy in Nigeria, following the judgment of Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, ordering the deregistration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party (A), Action Alliance (AA), Action Peoples Party (APP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP). We stand in unwavering solidarity with the affected political Parties. This development represents a dangerous assault on democracy, further enabling authoritarian control, a leadership style Bola Tinubu is infamous for. Interestingly, the Plaintiff in this case is a Forum of former legislators, they had earlier endorsed Bola Tinubu as their sole Presidential candidate. Also, Justice Lifu's decision to grant a judgement, was in flagrant disobedience to a standing Appeal Court order. At a time when Nigerians are suffering unprecedented hardship, insecurity, unemployment, and state repression, the Tinubu administration appears determined to launch a brutal attack against democracy itself, by undermining the existence of opposition Parties and restricting the rights of citizens to freely organize and participate politically. The strength of democracy lies in political pluralism, and the ability of citizens to create and support parties that represent their aspirations. Any attempt to extinguish these rights is an attack on the Nigerian people. The African Action Congress calls on the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), civil society organizations, Labour Unions, Student groups, and all Nigerians of conscience to resist this dangerous precedent. Silence in the face of this attack will only embolden our oppressors to bury what remains of our democracy. Today it is ADC, Accord, AA, APP, and ZLP. Tomorrow it could be any other opposition Party. AAC reiterates that Nigeria belongs to its people, not to a ruling clique desperate to eliminate every voice of dissent and political opposition. We therefore urge all democratic stakeholders to unite in defence of Democracy, it has become our collective responsibility. Nigerians must resist every attempt to impose a One-Party state through judicial and political manipulation. #TinubuMustGo Signed: Rex I. It may be difficult for some compatriots to hear, but a nation governed by a leader @officialABAT involved drug-trafficking stands little chance of getting its moral compass right. When those at the very top set the tone, the institutions responsible for upholding integrity are inevitably shaped in that image. That is why officials such as @OfficialDSSNG Director-General Tosin Ajayi owe their loyalty not to the Nigerian people, but to the interests of the cartel. They should all be reminded, as we have repeatedly reminded public officials intoxicated by naked power, that no abuse of power lasts forever. A day of reckoning is always near. #RevolutionNow

For those asking after me following the revocation of my bail, rest assured that this is just another chapter in the cyclical history of oppression. Like every chapter before it, and every one that will follow, it too shall come to naught. In the end, we will WIN. #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027

It has been brought to my notice that the judge presiding over my case concerning Tinubu is a criminal has revoked my bail, despite my presence in court yesterday, when the judge was not in attendance; consequently, we requested a new date. The agenda for today was to consider my application seeking the judge's recusal, but instead, he opted to revoke my bail in a bid to assert forceful control over the trial. I will confront these developments with determination and resilience. This was all planned but it shall not prevail. The struggle continues!

The struggle for a green energy transition and an end to the environmental cannibalism of multinational corporations has long been a central focus of my activism. I have taken this fight from corporate boardrooms to the streets, in Nigeria and beyond, picketing boardrooms, disrupting Annual General Meetings of fossil fuel giants, and standing with communities demanding environmental justice over corporate greed. The events captured in these photographs took place in 2006 at the Ford Motor Company in Michigan and the second was in San Francisco, California at a @Chevron protest when we filed a human rights violation lawsuit against Nigeria’s oil giant at (Bowoto v. Chevron) in 2008 reflecting different moments in the struggle for environmental justice and a just green energy transition. #Sowore2027

This is how the evil Nigeria Police Force @policeng deployed aerosol-filled chemicals against peaceful June 12 protesters in Abuja. One of their operatives sprayed the substance directly into my face at close range, causing me to collapse and struggle to breathe. The attack was unprovoked and carried out against citizens exercising their constitutional right to peaceful protest on Democracy Day. africanews.com/2026/06/12/pro…
