My dog-brother Doug has sadly passed away. It was very sudden and though a handsome gentleman of ten years, the shock has been hard to bear. Worst of all for my mother who now must face daily life without his company. I wish we could take our tears and longing and turn it to a gift of love he could receive. A few days ago he gently side stepped a duck and her ducklings in the garden to let them pass, and we smothered him with admiration and pride for the gentle sweet boy he is. I had a uniquely tender hug the last time I saw him as if he knew it was goodbye. If you’re at all spiritual I request you send your love and comfort vibes toward my mother as we try to adjust.
