Just devastating. Charlie Kirk did so much to shape conservative politics, and engage young people of every political persuasion in democracy.
Anyone who heard him saw his decency, and civility. He engaged in the argument, and sought to explore and explain, getting those who disagreed with him to challenge themselves too.
Whilst we have all lost one of the great minds and communicators of our time, that pales to what Charlie’s family has lost.
Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this most agonising time.
I hope the coward who committed this awful act is brought to justice, and suffers for the remainder of their time on this earth.

I try to stay out of local Burnley Politics, but the below - from a sitting Burnley Councillor - is disgusting. Charlie Kirk was shot dead less than 24 hours ago. His crime - being a conservative voice. He leaves behind a wife and young family, including 2 children, and this hard-left councillor of Corbyn style politics, says he “brought this upon himself”. She should hang her head in shame, and do the decent thing by resigning from office.

This 3 day thing is ridiculous - what are these MPs going to do when Labour finally start putting legislation on the table instead of lots of general debates?
