@carlywatters Query Tracker first (who reps my genre, are they accepting queries) then agency websites, Twitter, and MSWL—all for different info. Each query takes me at least 45 minutes … and I start with a spreadsheet of potential matches.

Question for the writers: What's your first instinct about how to find agents to pitch: do you go to social media to look for agents first or agency websites first?

@LaQuetteWrites No, but I’m guessing some extra/unusual ingredient. Like how a dirty chai has a shot of espresso (yuck). Maybe a coffee or black pepper crust?

I'm also no longer with my previous agent, so #amquerying again. But I can't regret taking this time to do a deep dive to focus on and level up my writing.

Quick catch-up on the past two years of my writing life. I've been immersed in @StonecoastMFA (grad June '23). I've revised two novels, written a new novel, and started a collection contemporary YA retellings of Agatha Christie stories. I'm having a blast!
