@Love2Travel @danchodan I helped a client (that legit qualified for ERC) complete all ERC requirements of their PEO (ADP Total Source) in Apr 2021. ADP TS says they submitted everything in Nov 2021. Still no $. Claim is ~$500K and ADP TS has gone radio silent. 🤨 Hope you have better luck.

Lesson from helping an elderly person close to our family: take their damned checkbooks from them and make sure their checking accounts have only enough to cover recurring expenses. The amount of fraudsters out there preying on the elderly is just incredible when seen firsthand.

@SmithMatthewC @DailyTaxMemes Report to FBI (IC-3) and to FTC. We never heard back on anything but I also filed BBB reports on the “tech support companies” that are still in business. My mom knew something was up but didn’t say anything until it got really bad bc of the shame. It’s horrible and infuriating.

@SmithMatthewC @DailyTaxMemes NEVER thought this would happen to my dad; frugal/brilliant/skeptical. But they found a vulnerability and exploited it (started with tech support, then they said, “hey, we’ve seen you’ve been scammed, we can recover the money if you send $xx in moneygrams.” It was a long grift.

@danchodan Have you seen anyone actually receiving the ERC filed through a PEO? My client is waiting on $500K (100% legit) filed by ADP’s PEO in Nov 21.

If advisors and taxpayers were BOTH liable for improper ERC credit repayments, perhaps we would see less nonsense. It seems PEOs are in this situation already. Things may get ugly.

@SarcasticCPA @danchodan Our client in a PEO is also still waiting. I'm not sure when the PEO filed, but it was later than yours....sometime early 2022. Fwiw....I have about 8 Q3 '21 ERCs still waiting, which were all filed on original 941. It's 1 year this month. Good luck on yours

Has anyone on #TaxTwitter dealt with 2020 ERC amended 941s when the client is involved in a PEO? Does the entire PEO need to qualify, even though it may involve a hundred companies, half of whom are individually eligible? This is a new one for us.

@danchodan @dkrechchatt Circling back on this....our PEO says they filed my client's 941X in November 21 (7 months after we submitted to them). Still no refund/credit (or any proof they actually amended). What are you seeing?
