There's no good civic argument for the electoral college. It was arguably necessary to ensure the ratification of the Constitution, but it's an anti-democratic device that gives some American citizens far more voting power than others, based purely on where they live.

This post right here brought the hubris sewer rats who claim the Europe is nothing without the US. This tweet showed how my fellow Americans think of themselves always as plantation slave owners. They think they are it. Just this month, The US was humiliated in the war with Iran without NATO cooperation. Without NATO, the US is a third rated empire that China can eat its lunch. The once acclaimed mighty military got humiliated by cheap Iranian drones. The stealth bombers were not stealth, the supposedly dominating carrier in the sea was not that dominating and it was limping home. Just a few drones forced it to retreat. Now NATO is important to continue defending democracy around the world. At least that’s what we proclaimed since WWII. What good is Nato when it’s leader, the US is far from a democratic country but an ugly authoritarian fascist regime under trump. NATO should not participate in what the US is doing, like propping fascist authoritarian regimes around the world. Like JD in Budapest. Now carry on the ignorance, and chest pounding as Americans. The world is moving on from the broken, un democratic empire we call the USA. Good luck.
