playing thru RE4 original again and it’s a crime what the remake did to this game’s story. It’s so funny, so stupid, Leon is a fucking moron who says wild dumbass shit, calling Luis “Louis” the whole game. I remember now why this was the best game ever made for like 15 years

@ShitGreat757151 The overall tone of the remake is much more self-serious, even if it maintains the series’ trademark OTT gameplay. But even then it’s more straight-faced. No QTEs outrunning boulders/giant statues, etc. Many of the camp elements the remake retains are so much more low-key than OG
