So I went down the tangaliya rabbit hole and checked in with @is_rajvardhan about this. This is an extremely labor intensive fabric. One thing led to another and I have managed to convince him to do a bespoke run for this. Raj expects the shirt to cost 11-15k. It will be bespoke and guaranteed to fit. I am in. So I need 9 more of of you to sign up. Who wants in.
Wren@wrendom

The blue shirts that GT players wore on Gujarat Day celebrations aren’t just your regular shirts. They’re Tangaliya (તાગળિયાં), a 700-year-old handloom craft from Gujarat. Handwoven, GI-tagged, rooted in heritage. Even Brad Pitt wore it in the movie, F1 (2025). From Gujarat’s Surendranagar to Hollywood and now in IPL. Aava de 💙⚡

And wonder why some countries don’t open their Agri markets for US
Dave W@dmweisberger

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

I was today yrs old when I realised that Pratham Mittal (founder of Master’s union) is the son of Ashok Mittal (founder of Lovely professional uni)😭 like bro… you literally come from that background-one of the biggest pvt education setups in India you already have the infra, the scale, the reach, the distribution, EVERYTHING you could’ve just: made it more affordable fixed the actual employability gap upgraded curriculum for real-world skills and lowkey change the game at scale Instead, we now have another premium institution charging insane fees, selling the “entrepreneurship + startup + placement” dream and don’t get me wrong, Masters’ Union is positioned well, cool vibe, industry exposure and all -but it’s also very clearly targeted at a certain bracket only like it’s not solving the mass problem it’s just creating a premium layer on top of an already broken system

Hospitality (Hotels) in India is underrated. I’ve travelled to 14+ countries, and one thing I’ve clearly seen, service in India is just too good. You feel looked after, almost pampered, even in normal hotels. After yesterday’s JW Marriott issue, I moved to another Marriott property today. After 5 hours, I realized the heating wasn’t working, room stuck at 66°. I called them, and then they said there’s an electrical problem and entire hotel is running at this temperate. They can give another blanket or a portable heater… but only when I asked. I’ve seen this in other countries too. In Austria, I once asked for a spoon, and the reply was, room service is 10 Euros. A restaurant in Switzerland was closing at 7PM and we asked for a Pizza (15 mins before closing time), they told they can’t get it as it’s closing time, only cold sandwiches (to-go) can be served. In India, service may be cheaper, but the care you get is much better. People go the extra mile without you asking. That’s what makes it special.

if you're a mango-paglu and are based out of bengaluru it is worth doing the mango pilgrimage: - mango malai at naturals (goat - nothing compares a scoop of heaven topped with tiny cubes of heavenly alphonso) - the mango meal at hallimane, malleshwaram (think meals but every single thing on your banana leaf is mango first - the chutney and savories are such a delight ends with mango ice cream) - the mango french toast at subko (decadent brioche bread oozing with the goodness of mango chunks) - the fresh mango toppings with froyo in froyoland if you have more suggestions - add to the list. tis the season!

We are thrilled to announce that Cozy Farms has raised 3.6 Cr in funding from a select group of angel investors across Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Hospitality. The primary goal of the fundraise was to bring in the right folks who have built massive businesses and add immense value to our mission as shareholders. This significantly enhances our ability to finance and scale our upcoming projects. Our FY 26-27 goal is to do 40 Cr in revenue with atleast a 30% PAT, a 6x jump from the FY that just closed. We have the inventory ready to meet this goal. This growth will generate the free cash flow and financing needed to accelerate toward 100 Cr ARR within the next 3 years. We will also raise another 6-8 Cr in the next 3-4 months from a select group of folks. We are chasing revenue and profitability here, all the way to a 1000 Cr mark. Our focus will continue to be helping our community grow wealth, stay healthy, and find contentment through land ownership We will continue to launch our luxury farm communities in interesting destination across South India and scale Cozy Farms into a much larger community of wonderful people. 🌳🚀 A big thanks to my crazy team and everyone who is part of our community. 💪🏼 #RealEstate #Hyderabad #Bangalore #Investment

Why does the entire speech seems like it is funded from someone’s pocket ? Govt money is public money anyway and this is a valid option to exercise. They need better writing for sure

International crude prices have gone through the roof in the last 1 month from around 70 dollars/barrel to around 122 dollars/barrel. Consequently, petrol and diesel prices for consumers have gone up all over the world. Prices have increased by around 30%-50% in South East Asian countries, 30% in North American countries, 20% in Europe and 50% in African countries. The Modi Government had two choices- either increase prices drastically for citizens of Bharat as all other nations have done or bear the brunt on its finances so that Indian citizen is insulated from international volatility. Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji, in keeping with his Government’s commitment of last 4 years since the conflict in Russia-Ukraine started, decided to take a hit on its own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen. Government has taken a huge hit on it taxation revenues to ensure very high losses of oil companies (approximately 24 Rs/litre for petrol and 30 Rs/litre for diesel) at this time of sky high international prices are reduced. At the same time, export tax has been levied as international prices of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed and any refinery exporting to foreign nations will have to pay export tax. My gratitude to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble FM @nsitharaman Ji for this very timely, bold and visionary decision!

@chandrarsrikant While privilege is a privilege , you do equally see privileged folks squander life (2 Ambani brothers and different outcomes) while people with odds stacked against them making it big (eg are numerous)

Context and possibilities When your dad is a partner in a private equity fund or running a family office in West Asia or you grow up having a millionaire uncle, your context is completely different. Your context does not limit your possibilities. The schools you go to, the college hostels you are in, the kids you befriend at functions, the restaurants you eat at, the clubs you play tennis and golf in, among other things seen and unseen. While a person without these factors dithers about even knocking on a door, the privileged one opens the door with flair and struts right in. It's not unfair, it's just a fact of life. #Musings
